Oro NHS strengthens Communication, Assessment, and School Safety

September 18, 2026 — Oro National High School conducted a meaningful Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on September 18, 2026, focusing on strengthening school safety, communication, and assessment practices to promote effective teaching, learning, and learner welfare.

The session featured three key topics presented by school personnel and a resource person from the community.

Mrs. Marilou B. Monding, School Principal II, discussed “Effective Communication: Building Strong Connections Within and Beyond the Classroom.” She emphasized the importance of clear, respectful, and purposeful communication in building positive relationships among teachers, learners, parents, and other stakeholders.

The second topic, “Assessment Practices: Using Effective Assessment Strategies to Improve Teaching and Learning,” was presented by Mr. Erwin Alcido, Teacher VI. His discussion highlighted the importance of appropriate assessment strategies in monitoring learner progress, identifying learning gaps, and improving teaching practices.

For the School Safety component, PSSG. Manuel A. Projo III discussed “School Safety: Promoting a Safe, Secure, and Responsive School Environment.” The session was attended not only by school personnel but also by parents, barangay officials, and community members, emphasizing the importance of community participation in ensuring the safety and well-being of learners.

PSSG. Projo underscored the shared responsibility of schools, families, local officials, and community members in creating a secure and responsive environment where learners can study safely and confidently.

The LAC Session provided an avenue for participants to gain practical insights, exchange experiences, and strengthen collaborative practices that support quality education and learner protection.

Through the activity, Oro National High School reaffirmed its commitment to continuous professional development, effective communication, meaningful assessment, and strong school-community partnerships in building a safe and learner-centered educational environment.
