The Office of Student Affairs expresses its full support for the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in its campaign against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).

We are pleased to share two internationally recognized advocacy films — “Mirror” and “Play” — which powerfully highlight the urgent need to protect children in digital spaces.

We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to:

A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Heroes

To the Teaching and Non-teaching staff of the Diocesan Schools of Dipolog!

Deo gratias!

I am truly humbled by the passion and dedication you bring to the lives of our learners. Your unwavering commitment inspires me, and I am deeply grateful for the hardships you have overcome in transforming the lives of your students. Indeed, you are all living heroes to many.

As I endure the pain from my recent medical operation, I can only imagine the struggles you face daily as educators. While my physical pain may subside, I recognize that yours often lingers. The constant challenge of developing effective strategies to reach each child, the desire to provide them with the best possible education, and the ongoing journey of personal and professional growth are no small feats. You navigate practical challenges while striving to make ends meet, often facing discouragement from being misunderstood or unsupported by leadership despite your creativity and hard work. Yet, you persist in your noble mission, even in the face of tempting opportunities elsewhere.Your decision to stay and remain steadfast in your roles, despite these insurmountable challenges, is what truly makes you heroes worthy of respect.

I would also like to commend the remarkable efforts of our non-teaching staff. Your support for our teaching staff and your dedication in your respective roles exemplify true commitment. Those of you who go above and beyond expectations embody the spirit of dedication and excellence. You too deserve to be called heroes!

Thank you, dear teachers and non-teaching staff of the Diocesan Schools of Dipolog. You are a remarkable group of living heroes whom our students can look up to. I know that your motivation extends beyond financial compensation; what you cherish most are the simple yet priceless acts of kindness, appreciation, respect, and support.

On this special day, I encourage everyone to be present for one another and to be mindful of each other’s contributions and presence. In the spirit of synodality, we are all in this together. While we may not have large salaries, we can offer each other immense joy and fulfillment. Let us continue to cultivate a positive atmosphere in our workplaces; after all, this will nurture kindness, mindfulness, and humility among us all.

Daghang Salamat, mga mindful, mga demure, og mga cutesy nga employees!

Semper Deo gratias et Mariae.

Fr. Thani
