๐ข CLASS SUSPENSION ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the Extreme Heat Alert in Dapitan, with the heat index potentially reaching 42ยฐC, classes are suspended this afternoon to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and personnel.
All students are advised to go home immediately after class and avoid unnecessary exposure to the extreme heat. Stay hydrated and take care of yourselves.

HEAT ALERT: Heat Index in Dapitan May Reach 42ยฐC โ Dapitanons Urged to Take Precautions
The DOST-PAGASA projects that the heat index may reach as high as 42ยฐC, a level where prolonged exposure to heat may cause heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and possible heat stroke.
With the intense heat, everyone is advised to take extra precautions, especially children, senior citizens, outdoor workers, and persons with health conditions.
๐ง Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even before you feel thirsty.
๐ค๏ธ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during the hottest hours of the day. If possible, limit strenuous outdoor activities and stay in shaded or well-ventilated areas.
๐ Wear light and breathable clothing and use umbrellas, hats, or other protection when going outdoors.
๐ Never leave children, senior citizens, or pets inside parked vehicles, even for a short period.
๐ฅค Avoid excessive alcohol, caffeine, and very sugary drinks, which may contribute to dehydration.
โ ๏ธ Know the warning signs of heat-related illness. Watch for dizziness, headache, excessive sweating, weakness, nausea, rapid heartbeat, confusion, or fainting. Move the affected person to a cool area immediately and seek medical assistance when necessary.
