𝗡𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

The Department of Education, Schools Division of Siargao, continues to support the health and nutrition of learners through the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) at Burgos Central Elementary School, Burgos District.

With a total of 𝟵𝟰 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, the school continues to provide nutritious meals as part of its feeding activities. From food preparation to the serving of meals, the program reflects the dedication of school personnel and feeding implementers in helping learners receive the nourishment they need.

The SBFP aims to improve the nutritional well-being of learner-beneficiaries and support their readiness to learn. Through the continued efforts of our schools and partners, we work toward a healthier and more supportive learning environment for every learner.

Together, we continue to nourish learners and build a healthier school community.

The Schools Division of Siargao officially commenced the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 held at the Sports Complex Convention Center, Brgy. Osmeña, Dapa, Surigao del Norte.

The activity gathered School Heads, Principals, Administrative Officers (AOs), District Officers (DOs), and other program implementers to discuss the effective implementation of the SBFP for the incoming school year.

Key topics discussed during the orientation included:

✅ Review of the previous SBFP implementation and presentation of accomplishments, challenges encountered, and best practices before and after implementation

✅ Budget allocation for SBFP SY 2026–2027

✅ Allocation of beneficiaries per Central Kitchen, Satellite Schools, and Stand-Alone Kitchens

✅ Proper preparation and management of hot meals

✅ Target months and schedules for RO Milk Distribution

✅ Discussion on the SBFP Mother Guidelines/Implementation Guidelines and other important program updates

✅ Effective date of SBFP implementation starting June 15, 2026

The orientation emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and efficient program management to ensure nutritious meals and support services reach our learners-beneficiaries.

We are also honored by the presence and valuable insights shared by our special speaker, COA Auditor Sir Jessriel Azarcon, who emphasized proper utilization of government funds and compliance with auditing and documentation requirements.

With the collective efforts and commitment of all stakeholders, we look forward to a more organized, effective, and successful implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program this SY 2026–2027.

School-Based Feeding Program Kickoff | SY 2026–2027

The Department of Education, Schools Division of Siargao, marked the kickoff of the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for School Year 2026–2027 on June 11, 2026.

The activity reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to promoting learners’ health, nutrition, and overall well-being through the provision of nutritious meals and the continued implementation of the School-Based Feeding Program.

The kickoff also highlighted the importance of collaboration among school personnel, local government partners, stakeholders, and the community in creating a supportive learning environment where every learner can thrive.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all partners, school personnel, and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the activity and continue to support the goals of the SBFP.

SDO SIARGAO | SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

The Schools Division Office of Siargao, through the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP), highlights the feeding activities conducted at the San Isidro Central Elementary School Central Kitchen.

The photographs document the preparation and serving of meals, as well as the participation of learners in the feeding activity. These efforts reflect the continuing commitment of the school and its personnel to support the nutritional well-being of learners and promote a conducive environment for learning.

The SDO Siargao recognizes the dedication of the school personnel, feeding coordinators, and other stakeholders who contribute to the implementation of the program.
