This study investigates the factors influencing e-learning acceptance among college students using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. The UTAUT model is modified by exploring the inclusions of perceived flexibility, enjoyment, interactivity, and perceived quality. Employing structural equation modeling (SEM), data from 976 college students from the Visayas, Philippines, were analyzed. SEM analysis revealed an acceptable model based on model fit measures. The findings highlight the importance of user-friendly e-learning platforms that allow students to customize their learning experiences, effectively manage their time, and engage flexibly with course materials. Systems that enhance productivity and meet user needs are perceived as higher quality to develop positive attitudes and enjoyment. Interactive and intuitive design features are essential in increasing students' intention to use these platforms. Developers and educational leaders should prioritize creating engaging and adaptable platforms that align with students' expectations and regularly integrate user feedback to improve the learning experience.

This study examines the implementation of modular instruction in Philippine public elementary schools during the pandemic, shedding light on the challenges and varying perspectives among teachers, parents, and learners. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted society, especially in the education sector. There was a need to adopt various distance learning modalities to address the unpredicted challenges. Modular instruction emerged as a critical solution, reflecting the Philippine educational system's limited readiness for complete online learning. Despite its practicality, this approach posed unique challenges, significantly impacting teachers, parents, and learners.

The findings reveal disparities in views on teaching effectiveness and assessment reliability, as well as systemic issues such as resource shortages, delayed module distribution, and insufficient feedback mechanisms. Despite these challenges, the study emphasizes the crucial role of collaboration among stakeholders in adapting to new learning modalities. Modular instruction may contribute to academic procrastination among students. Given this observation, it is recommended that further investigation be conducted to explore the relationship between the modular setup and academic procrastination. Additional studies could examine factors such as student motivation, time management skills, and the role of parental involvement in mitigating procrastination. Addressing these issues could lead to improved strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of modular instruction and ensuring timely student engagement. These results pave the way for more inclusive and effective educational strategies during crises.

This study explores the strategic integration of Cebuano Kumbira into its educational potential as a teaching model in the classroom. Kumbira Model of Joyful Teaching (KMJT) is developed to show that a happy classroom is a distinctive educational environment where learners acquire knowledge, gauge in socialization, and revel in a festive atmosphere reflecting the communal ethos of a happy classroom atmosphere where they experience joy, respect, and tolerance.

The core philosophy of KMJT centers around the 6Ps (Paglaraw, Pag-imbitar, Pagdigamo, Pagpangaon, Pag-abi-abi, and Paghiayon). The first P(Paglaraw) and second P(Pag-imbitar) are the initiations phase of this teaching model; this involves planning, stimulating curiosity, and encouraging students to participate in the learning process by reinforcing the use of rewards. Paglaraw and Pag-imbitar are critical in teaching-learning because they establish the tone for the rest of the students' learning experiences. To continue the progress of knowledge, the third P(Pagdigamo) and the fourth P(Pagpangaon) of KMJT are critical in the development of the content of the lesson; teachers have a vital role in facilitating this phase of the earning process. The fifth P(Pag-abi-abi) and the last P(Paghiayon) are the culmination phase of the learning process. At this point, the learners' mastery of the lesson is assessed, and feedback is given. This step is critical in the teaching and learning process in determining the success of the strategies employed and whether or not the learning goals have been achieved. These steps have been integrated into teaching implications, anchored in learning theories and classroom applications to enhance student engagement, promote deeper understanding, and have a joyful and culturally enriched learning environment.

This study explores the effectiveness of Modular Distance Learning (MDL) in improving skill proficiency among 133 Grade 9 Computer Systems Servicing (CSS) learners in Region VII, Philippines. The researcher utilized descriptive correlational design and quantitative methods to assess studentsโ€™ capabilities by applying quality standards, performing computer operations, and conducting measurements and calculations. The learners demonstrated satisfactory performance in the identified Most Essential Learning Components (MELCs), for which the researcher identified significant challenges such as limited data access and insufficient technological devices. It was highlighted in the findings that targeted interventions can address the identified barriers and challenges and will improve the effectiveness of MDL in enhancing practical skills for future CCSS career specializations.

The study emphasizes the necessity for personalized approaches in MDL for CSS students. A significant disparity in learnersโ€™ skill proficiency was found, indicating that current MDL strategies may not adequately cater to diverse learning needs. To address this, educators should modify learning materials and support systems to learnersโ€™ strengths and weaknesses and incorporate hands-on and interactive activities and exercises. As well as for policymakers, bridging the digital gap by ensuring equitable access to technological devices and internet connectivity must be a priority. MDL can effectively equip students for CSS careers by refining instructional methods, providing targeted support, mitigating educational inequalities, and fostering career readiness.
