This study is part of the undergraduate educational research subject taught by Dr. Gamaliel Gonzales, Director of the ERRC, with Dr. Roselyn Gonzales as co-adviser, who managed correspondence during the publication process and revisions. A major part of this work was made possible through the contributions of the lead author, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨, and co-authors 𝐘𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐝, 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐚 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐨— preservice teachers in Social Studies Education at Cebu Technological University Danao Campus. The project also received valuable contributions from the Educational Research and Resource Center (ERRC) research associates, Ms. Danica Kaye Hallarte and Ms. Masza Lyn Milano.

The paper integrates the Protective Action Decision Model (PADM) and Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) to understand community evacuation behavior. This study is especially timely in light of recent flood events in northern Cebu, offering insights—drawn from data gathered prior to Typhoon Tino—on how perceptions of government support, information quality, and institutional responsiveness influence residents' views on their vulnerability and protective actions. Aligning flood mitigation strategies with these behavioral insights guides interventions that are not only infrastructural but also socially responsive.

Concerns about how teachers' moral ascendancy and dependency can be attributed and assessed in a behavioral context have been raised by the recent literature's prominence of integrating artificial intelligence into teaching practices. This MAD-AI Scale is an innovative new instrument for investigating the effects of teachers' moral ascendancy and their dependency on the use of AI technologies in educational settings, and its construction and rigorous validation form the basis of this pioneering study. It presents a multidimensional framework that can help guide ethical AI practices in schools by considering these two dimensions.

This study gave the researchers an empirical way to look into the increasingly emerging convergences in influences through AI tools in classrooms. AIs' impact on teachers' ethical transparency and accountability, professional integrity, preparedness, and institutional support. It also provides valuable insights relevant to policymakers, school leaders, and teacher training institutions sensitized to the evolving AI integration in education.

This accomplishment has placed the research team on a distinguished pathway towards advancing thought leadership in AI-integrated pedagogy, as it is recorded in Computers & Education, with a long-standing reputation for excellence in technology-enhanced learning research. Such marking of success reflects on the team's incredible commitment to advancing responsible innovation and academic excellence in education, and that research efforts would contribute significantly towards advancing knowledge in the area through evidence-based tools and research.
