The "ESTUDYANTENG DANAWANON: MAPASALAMATON CHALLENGE".

It is a fact that the world is facing crisis nowadays due to this pandemic and people's ways of living are changing day by day as this trial continues. Amidst the crisis and trepidations we are still thankful to those people who sacrifices their personal safety and security just to help for the goodness of all countrymen. (Doctors, Nurses, Policemen, Military, Task Force Teams, Government Leaders/Employees, Private Agencies. Etc.) We youths are given loud voices to express our thoughts and we must make sure that we are uttering the right, positive and helpful words to everyone. It's time for us to give thanks!

Mechanics of the Challenge:

1. Kindly download the template "Estudyanteng Danawanon, Mapasalamaton Challenge" below.
2. Using any Photo Editor app, add any photo of you wearing your school uniform and/or GSP/BSP uniforms and then type your personalized thank you/appreciation message to our front liners in fighting against the COVID'19 in the blank space of the template. Save your edits as new picture.
3. Please do add your name as the sender with your grade level and the name of your school (e.g. Sincerely, Maria Clara, Grade 12 | MNHS ).
4. Send the edited photo of yours together with your messages to our page and we'll automatically upload it.
5. All private and public elementary/secondary students all over Danao City are challenged to do this.
6. Through creativity, we can give this simple appreciation and gratitude to our dear front liners! 💗

UNANG KASO SA 2019 NOVEL CORONAVIRUS SA PILIPINAS GIKOMPERMA SA DOH KARON

Today, the Department of Health announced the first confirmed case of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines. The patient is 38 years old from China.

The announcement came after results were received from the confirmatory test done at the reference laboratory in Australia.

WHO is providing technical support to the Department of Health in its response to 2019-nCoV in the country, including laboratory capacity strengthening, logistics support, case management, coordination and information sharing, and risk communication.

We strongly encourage everyone to protect themselves against the risk of coronavirus:

🔹️Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water
🔹️When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw tissue away immediately and wash hands
🔹️Avoid close contact with anyone who has fever and cough
🔹️If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your health care provider
🔹️When visiting live markets in areas currently experiencing cases of novel coronavirus, avoid direct unprotected contact with live animals and surfaces in contact with animals
🔹️The consumption of raw or undercooked animal products should be avoided. Raw meat, milk or animal organs should be handled with care, to avoid cross-contamination with uncooked foods, as per good food safety practices.
