as a Development Strategy held on December 9–11, 2025, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, Salinas Dr, Cebu City

The conference, organized by the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) in partnership with USC, gathers researchers, practitioners, educators, and advocates to advance volunteerism as a vital approach to inclusive and sustainable development, in celebration of National Volunteer Month (Proclamation No. 55, s. 1998).

Their participation highlights CTU Danao’s commitment to strengthening research, community engagement, and bayanihan-centered development initiatives.

This study presents an integrated analysis of the factors influencing evacuation behavior among residents in flood-prone communities in Northern Cebu, using the Protective Action Decision Model (PADM) and Protection Motivation Theory (PMT). The findings provide valuable insights for improving disaster preparedness, strengthening early warning systems, and guiding evidence-based policy development for community resilience.

This study evaluated the effectiveness of strategic intervention materials (SIM)-based instruction, employing the ADDIE model, in enhancing disaster literacy among technology students. The SIM significantly enhanced technology students’ disaster literacy, as evidenced by substantial pretest–posttest gains and strong cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. Qualitative insights further confirmed improved engagement and independent learning, while highlighting the need for contextual and multimodal refinements to better address the diverse needs of learners.

This study focuses on a community extension program to support persons deprived of liberty (PDL) in the Philippines through educational, livelihood, and rehabilitation initiatives. This study investigates the impact of using an improvised molecular kit as a teaching aid in organic chemistry on students’ academic performance. Results show that the use of the kit enhances students’ understanding of molecular structures and reactions, leading to improved engagement and higher achievement in the subject.

This study explores the relationship between students' use of surface and deep learning strategies and their academic performance in science. It highlights that students who employ deep learning approaches characterized by critical thinking and conceptual understanding tend to achieve higher academic outcomes than those who rely on rote memorization or surface learning.
