The entries of the top 10 contestants will be exhibited tomorrow; top 10 contestants are expected to be present during the exhibition of their entries for final judging and awarding.

Registration for PHOTO ESSAY CONTEST for SHS LEARNERS is already closed!

SHS Students who are able to register on or before November 17 must submit their entries. Deadline of submission of entry is UNTIL TOMORROW (November 21, 4pm).

Please be reminded to submit your ENTRIES to the following faculty;

The school is conducting a Photo Essay Contest about the birth commemoration of the late Mrs Michelle J. Sumulong...

The contest is OPEN to ALL SHS and College Students...

Below are the CONTEST MECHANICS, CRITERIA FOR JUDGING, CONTEST PRIZES, and CONTEST REGISTRATION LINK...

CONTEST MECHANICS

1. The contest will officially commence on November 11, 2022. Deadline of entries will be on November 21, 2022.

2. Entries will be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs. Contact person: Ms Leonelli Salongsongan

3. The entries must be related with “Kapwa at Katarungan” or “Society and Justice”.

4. One participant, one entry policy.

5. All photo essays and their attached descriptions must be the original work of and composed by the participant submitting the work. The brief description of each entries must be an original composition and must not be taken from the internet. All plagiarized entries is subject to automatic disqualification.

6. An entry will comprise of eight (8) pictures with 8.5" x 5.5" size each to be mounted on a one (1) whole illustration board.

7. A general yet brief description of the photo essay (300 words limit) must be indicated in the entry.

8. All submitted entries will be exhibited on November 25 (Friday, 8am) at the VRS Gymnasium.

9. Top ten (10) entries will be selected by the screening committee to be presented on the date of event conduct.

10. Awarding ceremony is on November 25 (Friday, 01:30 pm)...

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Visual Narrative = 40%
Each picture is clearly related to the theme. The pictures are able to
communicate a personal vision well to a general audience.

Aesthetic appeal = 30%
Photo essay evokes strong emotion and evidences creativity. The
presentation as a whole is aesthetically harmonious.

Thematic Cohesiveness = 30%
Theme is clear and well-developed throughout
entire photo essay.

First Placer - Php 5,000
Second Placer - Php 3,000
Third Placer - Php 2,000

Consolation Prizes - Php 1,000 (for the top 7 entries).

Ang nagre-RELEASE or nagi-ISSUE ng Good Moral Certificates (GMC) ay ang Head ng Student Affairs po.

TANONG:
1. Sino po ang Head ng Student Affairs?

2. Saan po located ang office niya?

3. Ano po ang schedule ng release or issue ng GMC?

4. Hindu na po ba nag rerelease ng GMC ang GUIDANCE OFFICE?

SAGOT:
1. Ang Head ng Student Affairs po ay si SIR PRINCE JOSHUA A. SANTOS

2. Ang office ni Sir Prince ay located sa... MAIN BULDING, First Floor, at the Principal's Office or Office of the Head Teachers (Tapat lang ng Computer Laboratory)

3. Ang RELEASE / ISSUE ng GMC ay tuwing MONDAY lang po, 1pm to 5pm.

4. Hindi na po nag rerelease or nag iissue ang Guidance Office ng GMC. Ito po ay tungkulin ng ating OSA.

Si Ma'am and Sir, minsan tayo'y napapagalitan, napapagsabihan, minsan nga'y napapatawag sa guidance dahil sa pagiging makulit o pasaway... ngunit sa kabila nito'y kanyang pagmamahal at pag-unawa ay walang katulad.

Siya'y pangalawang magulang; gabay tungo sa aking ika-uunlad; gabay tungo sa aking mga pangarap.

At ngayong buwan ng mga Kaguruan, ating pasalamatan ang ating mga minamahal na mga g**o...

I-Tag mo na si Ma'am and Sir, at siya'y pasalamatan... ano pa inaantay mo, i-tag mo na sila 🙂

Kamusta kayo? I hope that you're safe and well wherever you are now... a simple announcement for all SHS learners and all College students... about releasing of Good Moral Certificate (GMC)...

Starting August 19, 2022... the schedule day of the release of the Good Moral Certificate (GMC) for both SHS learners and College Students are moved and fixed on every MONDAY of the week... from 01:00 pm-04:30 pm...
