On 09 May 2026, the 243rd DMST UDD-PAF ROTCU celebrated a historic milestone: the Graduation Ceremony of the Basic Cadets Class of 2026 and the ROTC Advance Officers KAHALINHAYAN CL 2023-2026. More than just the final training day, this event marked a powerful transformation from the rigors of the training ground to the responsibilities of leadershipโall conducted under the esteemed guidance of Maj Luzthelta C Ravelo PAF Commandant UDD, MSgt Alejandro D Dungca PAF NCOIC Coordinator, TSgt Rariza PAF, and our dedicated VRI staff. Their mentorship served as the cornerstone of every cadetโs success, ensuring that the core values of service and integrity remain at the forefront of the program as these new leaders move forward.
A highlight of the day was the Formal Turnover of Command. In a moment defined by tradition and honor, C/COL Edwin F Marquez Jr. officially passed the mantle of responsibility and the position of Corps Commander to the newly appointed C/COL Junrel B Revellia. Furthermore, the responsibilities of the various staff designations and flight leadership previously held by the CL KAHALINHAYAN were formally turned over to the officers of Class MAPANLIYAN. This transition of authority across all departmentsโfrom administrative duties to tactical operationsโsymbolized the continuity of leadership, trust, and the collective commitment to carrying forward the excellence and values of the corps.
This graduation was not merely a ceremony of awards, but a reflection of the unity, discipline, and leadership instilled in every cadet who wears the uniform.
To the Basic Cadets of Class 2026, Congratulations on completing this journey! You have proven your resilience and dedication. Wear your achievement with pride, for you are now part of a legacy of service. The future of this corps is now in your hands.
To our senior leaders, KAHALINHAYAN Class of 2023-2026, thank you for the wisdom you shared and the standard of excellence you set. You didn't just lead; you taught your junior class what it means to serve with heart. Everything you have contributed to the 243rd DMST will be remembered and deeply appreciated. Your legacy will continue to inspire the next generation of cadets long after you leave the parade ground.
โTrue leadership is not defined by rank alone, but by the legacy and responsibility passed on to the next generation.โ

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY, C/COL EDWIN MARQUEZ F JR
Today, we celebrate not just your birthday, but the growth and quiet strength of a leader who never truly sought the position he now holds.
As our Corps Commander of the ROTC Air Force Unit, you did not dream of the roleโbut when it was given to you, you chose to accept it, stand firm, and carry it with discipline, purpose, and heart.
You have faced challenges that shaped you long before this rank, yet you continued forward with determination. To many, you are strict and firm in leadership, but beyond that is a man with a soft heartโespecially for your parents, to whom you dedicate all your achievements.
You lead not for recognition, but with responsibility. Not for applause, but with sincerity.
โLeading is not just about giving instructions but also about performing and doing alongside your subordinatesโ

As members of the UdD PAF ROTC Unit, we carry their legacy through discipline, commitment, and readiness to serve. The valor shown in the past continues to inspire todayโs generation of cadets to stand firm, act with integrity, and uphold the values of patriotism and duty.
May the stories of our heroes remind us that true strength is not only found in battle, but in the courage to stand for what is right, even in the face of hardship.
