ANNOUNCEMENT: RESUMPTION OF FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
Date: August 23, 2026

To: All St. Michael School By-the-Sea, Inc. Parents, Guardians, and Students
Please be advised that face-to-face (F2F) classes will officially resume tomorrow, Monday, August 24, 2026, following the 3-week class suspensions caused by the monsoon rains.

Important Guidelines for Parents & Guardians:
- Parental Discretion: We recognize that some families and communities may still be recovering or facing challenges due to the recent weather conditions. Parent/Guardian discretion remains in effect. If your child is still affected by flooding or transportation difficulties, you may keep them at home.
- Absences & Catch-up Work: Students who are unable to attend due to weather-related issues will be granted deserved considerations. Please inform the class adviser accordingly.
- Safety First: Please ensure your children bring rain gear, extra clothing, and necessary health essentials.

Thank you for your continued patience, understanding, and cooperation as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community. We are excited to see you all again in-person! Stay dry and safe!

After three straight weeks of class suspensions due to the heavy rains and flooding, our St. Michael School By-the-Sea, Inc. campus has felt way too quiet without you! We hope everyone is staying safe, dry, and secure at home during the bad weather.
We are eagerly looking forward to the resumption of face-to-face (F2F) classes soon. Our team is currently preparing and inspecting the campus facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and smooth return for all SMSBS students and staff.

Quick Reminders Before We Head Back:

🌧️📚 ADAPTING & EXCELLING: SYNCHRONOUS EXAMINATIONS IN FULL SWING! 📚🌧️

Despite the heavy rain and class suspensions, learning and assessment never stop at St. Michael School By-the-Sea, Inc.!
Today, our dedicated SMSBS students across all grade levels—from Preschool, Elementary, Junior High, to Senior High School—successfully took their examinations from the safety of their homes. Through live video group chats, our vigilant teachers monitored the sessions while students diligently worked on their test papers.

Here is how our community made it happen:

SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT: Important Update on Term 1 Summative Test 2

To the SMSBS community:
We hope this message finds you well. As we continue with our Term 1 academic activities, we want to provide you with the schedule for the upcoming Term 1 Summative Test 2.

Given the current circumstances, we have outlined two possible scenarios based on the mode of learning by August 19 (Wednesday).

Scenario A - If Classes are still suspended and remain Asynchronous by Wednesday, August 19:
Important Dates:
* Monday, August 17 (1:00 PM onwards): Test papers may be released to parents for pick-up.
Note: Kindly settle your children's latest accounts prior to getting the test papers.
* Wednesday, August 19: Synchronous answering of test papers with monitoring via video chat.
* Thursday, August 20: Submission of all test papers.
* Friday, August 21: No Classes (Ninoy Aquino Day holiday).

Scenario B - If Face-to-Face (F2F) Classes resume by Wednesday, August 19:
Important Dates:
*Wednesday-Thursday, August 19-20: F2F examinations on campus.
*Friday, August 21: No Classes (Ninoy Aquino Day holiday).

We understand that these are uncertain times, and we appreciate your continued cooperation and understanding. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more definitive information about the class setup in the next couple of days.
