✨️R1 & CAR CONQUER THE LABYRINTH: TEAM WINS NATIONAL CHAMPION IN AMAZING RACE✨️
Victory in the labyrinth was truly a team effort. Delegates from NFJPIA – Region 1 and CAR, including JOSH MACKLIN F. AQUINO, MARK KYRAN V. MONSALUD, and PRINCE ROMER M. JUNIO of the Kingfisher School of Business and Finance, raced their way to the top as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS in the Amazing Race: The Arcane Labyrinth of Fates during the 28th National Mid-Year Convention (NMYC) of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.
Held on February 12–15, 2026 at Club Balai Isabel Hotel in Talisay, Batangas, the convention carried the theme “The Labyrinth of Legends: The Grand Gambit.” The Amazing Race challenged participants through a series of stations that tested agility, strategy, teamwork, and quick thinking, pushing delegates to navigate the maze of tasks with both speed and precision.
Working as one cohesive unit, the R1 & CAR team overcame every twist and turn of the Arcane Labyrinth, outpacing competitors from across the country to secure the national title. Out of 516 student-representatives from 113 participating schools nationwide, only a select few advanced, and three of them proudly come from the Kingfisher School of Business and Finance.
During the 27th Search for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP) Qualifying Examination, hosted by P&A Grant Thornton and held virtually on February 21, 2026, LAWRENCE DAVE E. MACARAEG, RAZILEE P. DE VERA, and TYRON JONES T. ACUÑA rose to the challenge and secured their places among the TOP 25 FINALISTS of the competition.
In an impressive feat, 3 out of the 7 Kingfisher representatives who participated made it to the Top 25, giving Kingfisher the HIGHEST NUMBER OF FINALISTS from a single school in this year’s roster. Securing this distinction for the third consecutive year (2024-2026), this three-peat reflects preparation, persistence, and the competitive spirit of future accounting professionals.
With the qualifying round complete, the spotlight now shifts to the Grand Finals on March 20, 2026, where the country’s top accounting students will once again take the stage and prove their mastery.

SALAMAT, a representative from the Kingfisher School of Business and Finance, earned 2ND RUNNER-UP in The Executive Clash during the 28th National Mid-Year Convention (NMYC) of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.

MONTEMAYOR proudly secured 2ND RUNNER-UP in the 6th Samuel Misa Cup I: Freshmore Face-Off during the 28th National Mid-Year Convention (NMYC), a competition that gathered some of the most promising accounting students from across the country.
Held on February 12–15, 2026, at Club Balai Isabel Hotel in Talisay, Batangas, the convention carried the theme “The Labyrinth of Legends: The Grand Gambit.” Organized by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA), the event served as a national platform where delegates navigated challenging academic contests, collaborative learning sessions, and leadership-building experiences.

🖥️🔥 FIREWALLS UP: SAMUEL MISA CUP VI TRAFFIC ROUTED TO THE PODIUM 🔥🖥️
During the 28th National Mid-Year Convention, themed “The Labyrinth of Legends: The Grand Gambit,” the country’s top accounting students logged into one of the biggest academic stages of the year on February 12–15, 2026 at the Club Balai Isabel Hotel. Hosted by the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, the event ran like a high-level system test, packed with competitions that measured strategy, analysis, and precision.
One of the convention’s most technical arenas was the 6th Samuel Misa Cup VI: Information Systems Tournament, where competitors had to process complex concepts, troubleshoot tricky questions, and execute the right “commands” under pressure. Representing Kingfisher, FIDEL RODNEY Q.
