๐Ÿ”ข Did You Know?

The Greek mathematician Archimedes developed one of the earliest methods for estimating the value of ฯ€ (pi). He drew regular polygons inside and outside a circle and used geometric reasoning related to the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate their areas.

By increasing the number of sides of these polygons, he was able to show that the value of ฯ€ lies between 3 10/71 and 3 1/7.

๐Ÿงฎ Mathematics continues to inspire discovery and curiosity. Happy International Day of Mathematics! ๐Ÿ“šโœจ
