International Day of the Seafarer 2026 ๐ŸŒŠโš“

The PIMSAT Colleges, Inc. โ€“ College of Maritime Education proudly celebrated the International Day of the Seafarer 2026, embracing this yearโ€™s global theme:

โ€œCarrying World Trade. Carrying the Risks.โ€

The celebration paid tribute to the dedicated men and women of the maritime industry whose commitment and sacrifices keep the world connected. With approximately 90% of global trade transported by sea, seafarers remain at the heart of the global supply chain, ensuring the continuous movement of essential goods across nations.

โœจ One of the highlights of the celebration was the inspiring message delivered by our Guest of Honor and Speaker, Capt. Peter Ernst Paul Heimstaedt, who encouraged every aspiring seafarer to pursue the profession with genuine passion and unwavering commitment.

โ€œYou must love what you do. If you donโ€™t, you will never truly be a seafarer.โ€
โ€” Capt. Peter Ernst Paul Heimstaedt

๐Ÿ“ข The event also marked the Official Launch of the New College of Maritime Education Logo, symbolizing a renewed vision and PIMSAT Collegesโ€™ continued commitment to developing globally competent, disciplined, and future-ready maritime professionals.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our generous sponsors and partners for their invaluable support in making this celebration possible. We also extend our sincere gratitude to the school administration, faculty, and staff for their guidance; to the College of Maritime Education Corps of Cadets, the committees in charge, disciplinary officers, section leaders, and volunteers for their dedication and hard work both behind the scenes and on the front line; and to all cadets whose active participation made this celebration a meaningful success. ๐Ÿ’™

Together, we honor the heroes of the sea, celebrate their invaluable contributions to the world, and inspire the next generation of maritime professionals to uphold excellence, integrity, and service.

โš“ Fair winds and following seas to all our seafarers. Happy International Day of the Seafarer 2026! ๐ŸŒŠ
