The University of Luzon proudly honors 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐨 𝐓. 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, a Luzonian whose journey exemplifies the power of education, lifelong learning, and dedicated public service.

A former National Government full state scholar, Mr. Laguerta earned his 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲, 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟯. He further pursued graduate studies, earning a Master in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Laws, and became a Certified Public Accountant.

With decades of government service, he currently serves as 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿-𝗶𝗻-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 – 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲. His career has been marked by leadership and notable accomplishments in revenue administration, audit, human resource management, and quality management.

His journey from a scholar and Accountancy student to a senior government leader stands as an inspiration to every Luzonian: that excellence is nurtured through continuous learning, strengthened by dedication, and given purpose through service.

From earning his 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 degree at the University of Luzon in 1993 to becoming the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗫 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗥𝗢 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Angelo Z. Padua exemplifies the power of hard work, excellence, and perseverance.

A Certified Public Accountant and respected corporate leader, Mr. Padua has spent over three decades helping drive growth, innovation, and transformation in the financial services industry. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding business operations nationwide and strengthening organizational performance.

Beyond his corporate achievements, he also gave back to his alma mater by serving as a part-time 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 and 𝗖𝗣𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿, helping shape future generations of accounting professionals.

🌟 𝐔𝐋 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐏𝐀 🌟

The University of Luzon proudly celebrates the achievements of 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, a distinguished alumnus of the BS Accountancy program and a 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 graduate of the then Luzon Colleges.

Anthony brought honor to UL when he placed 𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟵 𝗖𝗣𝗔 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, earning an impressive general average of 91.43. This remarkable achievement became the foundation of a successful career in finance, accounting, audit, and business advisory.

Today, he serves as 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺, 𝗜𝗻𝗰., leading with excellence and drawing from more than 26 years of professional experience. Throughout his career, he has received prestigious recognitions, including Globe Telecom’s Leadership Excellence Award and Employee of the Year Award.

🎉 **University of Luzon College of Accountancy joins BSP Dagupan’s 33rd Anniversary Celebration!** 🎉

The College of Accountancy proudly participated in the **Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Dagupan Branch’s 33rd Anniversary**, where our students and faculty were invited to a special seminar highlighting:

💡 **The Role of BSP in the Philippine Economy** – exploring how the BSP safeguards monetary stability and supports national growth.
💵 **Know Your Money** – an engaging session on the security features of Philippine currency, empowering participants to spot genuine bills and protect against counterfeiting.

This meaningful experience strengthened our students’ understanding of the financial system and their role as future accountants in promoting integrity and economic resilience.
