In a strong show of environmental stewardship, members of several alumni associations and collegiate chapters of the Alpha Phi Omega Philippines, Inc. (APO) in Pangasinan spearheaded a coastal cleanup drive along the scenic shores of Nibaliw Beach, San Fabian, Pangasinan.
This initiative today, 20 September 2025, brought together fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, and local volunteers in a united effort to preserve one of Pangasinan’s most visited coastal areas.
Armed with gloves, sacks, and an unwavering commitment to service, participants combed the shoreline to collect plastic waste, discarded fishing gear, and other debris that threaten marine life and the beauty of the beach. The activity not only removed visible litter but also served as an educational platform, raising awareness among residents and tourists about the importance of
responsible waste disposal.
The event concluded with a pledge from volunteers to make coastal cleanups a regular activity.
Participating alumni members belonged to APO Dagupan City Alumni Association (AA #470), Pangasinan Alumni Association (AA #79), Alpha Gamma Alumni Association (AA #169), Alumni of San Fabian (AA #266), Amputi Layag Alumni of Binalatongan San Carlos City (ALAB AAPC #139), Alpha Gamma Sorority Alumni Association, Alpha Pi Alumni Association, Bayambang Alumni Association, Binmaley Alumni Association, Calasiao Association of APO, Delta Gamma Alumni Association, Laoac Alumni Association, Manaoag Alumni Association, Metro Tayug Alliance, Seattle (Washington, USA) Alumni Association, San Carlos City Pangasinan Alumni Association.
Also present are collegiate members from such chapters as Alpha Gamma, Alpha Pi, Delta Gamma, PC #131 - PIMSAT Colleges, Pangasinan Merchant Marine Academy (PAMMA Petitioning Group).
The APO brethren were joined by students of the Phinma - Univ. of Pangasinan College of Law Environmental Law Class, a contingent from the San Fabian (Pangasinan) Police Station, officials of the Barangay Councils and Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgys. Nibaliw Vidal & Sagud Baley, San Fabian, Pangasinan
