This meaningful initiative reflects the continuing partnership under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between UL CBAHTM and JCI Mangaldan Pindang, promoting experiential learning, community involvement, and student development.

Day 4

Day 4 focused on strengthening academic partnerships and educational collaboration through a visit to YPPI High School, Surabaya, Indonesia.

During the visit, University of Luzon representative, Dr. Carmelo John E. Vidal, engaged in meaningful discussions regarding possible cooperation and future partnerships with YPPI, an institution that manages schools across different educational levels. 🤝📚

Aside from the meeting at the high school department, Dr. Vidal also had the opportunity to visit the elementary school students, creating a warm and inspiring interaction with the young learners. ✨

The visit highlighted the importance of global academic connections, shared educational goals, and collaborative opportunities in promoting internationalization and cultural exchange. 🌏

May 6, 2026

Day 3

Day 3 was filled with meaningful learning experiences, cultural exploration, and exciting activities. The participants started the day with a fun and interactive Fun Bahasa session together with the Global Language Center–ITS, where everyone had the opportunity to learn basic Indonesian language expressions and appreciate the local culture. 📚🇮🇩

The journey continued with a city tour at the Surabaya Heroes Monument, one of Surabaya’s most significant historical landmarks that symbolizes courage, patriotism, and the rich history of Indonesia. 🏛️✨

To end the day, the participants enjoyed shopping and exploring local products at Mirota Batik 🛍️, showcasing the beauty of Indonesian batik and souvenirs.

The day served as another meaningful opportunity to strengthen international camaraderie, cultural understanding, and academic connections. 🌏🤝

Morning Visit:
The morning session was held at the Smart Eco Campus & SDGs Center, where Dr. Carmelo John E. Vidal presented the initiatives of University of Luzon in contributing to the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The visit provided valuable insights into how academic institutions integrate sustainability into their programs and operations.

Afternoon Visit:
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the ITS Research Center, where they explored various research initiatives, technological advancements, and innovative practices that support both academic growth and industry development. The session encouraged knowledge exchange and highlighted the importance of research in driving progress and collaboration.
