Our Electrical Engineering students recently stepped out of the classroom and into the heart of the industry for an eye-opening series of technical site visits. The 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐑𝐏𝐂), where they got an up-close look at large-scale power generation and the complex synchronization required to manage one of the country's most vital hydroelectric assets. Seeing the massive turbines and control systems in person provided our graduating seniors with invaluable context as they prepare to enter the professional workforce.
​In a separate, multi-stop learning experience, our 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐏), where they learned the intricacies of grid management and local power delivery. To complete their educational circuit, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐑𝐏𝐂), gaining a foundational understanding of renewable energy production. By visiting both sites, our underclassmen were able to witness the entire journey of electricity—from its massive generation at the dam to its final delivery to the community.

⚡ 𝐄𝐄 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐤𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 - 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀 𝐅𝐔𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐘
The energy was electric at EE Day: Denki Matsuri 2025-2026, a celebration that truly lived up to its name. The festivities began with an inspiring 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐄𝐀 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐂. 𝐎𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐨, 𝐌𝐒𝐈𝐓, followed by a spirited 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 from 𝐄𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐓. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐨, setting a high-voltage tone for the day. The crowd was then treated to a series of vibrant 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, where the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year levels showcased their unique flair and creativity.

​𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐄 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞, delivering an outstanding performance that electrified the entire venue. As the day drew to a close, the much-anticipated awarding of certificates took place, honoring the hard work and talent of all participants. 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 for this year’s celebration. It was a day of pure synergy, talent, and engineering pride! ⚡🏆

⚡️ 𝐄𝐄 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠!
What an absolute powerhouse of a start for EE Day 1! The energy was electric as our engineers stepped away from the schematics and into the competitive arena, showcasing both tactical grit and academic brilliance. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 a 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐋𝐁𝐁 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 over the 3rd and 4th years, and 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐎𝐃 𝐌𝐏 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒, leaving the 4th and 3rd years in their wake.

​But the excitement wasn't just limited to the screens. The atmosphere shifted from high octane gaming to high stakes intellect during the Quiz Show, where the competition was just as fierce. 𝐀 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐲𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐜 who proved their mental circuits are perfectly wired for success. It’s been an incredible first day of camaraderie and competition; hats off to all the winners for setting the bar so high!

🏀 𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐒, 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐄!
The bleachers were packed with high-voltage energy as students and the EE Faculty gathered to witness a masterclass in teamwork and court vision. While the faculty exchange their technical diagrams for tactical scouting from the sidelines, the student body provided a deafening soundtrack of cheers for every crossover and clutch three-pointer. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of academic camaraderie and raw competitive drive, proving that the department's synergy extends far beyond the laboratory. After a grueling series of fast breaks and defensive stops, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞. The 2nd Years showcased incredible resilience to earn 1st Place, while the 4th Years brought their veteran experience to the court to secure 2nd Place.

The atmosphere was electric as the court transformed into a battleground of precision and power, drawing a massive crowd of students and the EE Faculty. Between the thunderous spikes and the tactical sideline coaching from the professors, the energy never dipped below peak voltage. It was a sight to behold students cheering on their peers with relentless spirit while the faculty watched closely, appreciating the strategic "circuitry" of a well executed play. After a series of high intensity rallies and heart stopping saves, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧. They were followed by the 2nd Year team, who secured a hard fought 1st Place, and the 3rd Year squad, who rounded out the podium with a solid 2nd Place finish.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐔𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐀 𝐕𝐏 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥, 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐚, who set the stage for a day filled with intense competition, strategic plays, and undeniable department pride. From the shuttlecocks flying across the court to the quiet intensity of the chessboards, our EE students proved they have both the physical grit and the mental sharpness to dominate the field.

​In a thrilling display of athleticism on the court, the 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞, followed by the 4th Year in 1st Place and the 2nd Year in 2nd Place. ​The mental battles were just as fierce. 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏, with the 2nd Year taking 1st Place and the 4th Year finishing in 2nd. Meanwhile, the 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐤'𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒, the 2nd Year in 1st Place, and the 3rd Year rounding out the podium in 2nd Place. The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗘𝗦𝗔) powered up the academic atmosphere with their 𝟐𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held on 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

To jumpstart the program, dynamic ice breakers were conducted to spark enthusiasm and boost the morale of the aspiring electrical engineers in attendance. Diving deep into the event, the Program Head, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗹 𝗧. 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗼 delivered the opening remarks, followed by an inspiring message from the 𝗖𝗘𝗔 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗖. 𝗢𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗼, 𝗠𝗦𝗜𝗧.

The seminar was highlighted by a series of technical talks from distinguished industry experts:
* 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗠. 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼, discussing 𝗚𝗡𝗗𝗣 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
