Beyond the event itself, it is the dedication, collaboration, and shared commitment of different organizations that leave a lasting impact on the university community.
The Supreme Student Council sincerely thanks all organizations who contributed their time, effort, talents, and support in making Sinayon: The Golden Flame 2026 a meaningful celebration of student leadership.
May you remain a source of inspiration, service, and positive change for the students you represent. May your passion to serve shine brightly and leave a lasting impact on those around you.

Last June 3, Sinayon: The Golden Flame 2026 recognized student leaders for their dedicated service throughout the academic year. This year's theme, โSinayonโ, means to remain or to stay. It serves as a reminder that even as a term comes to an end, student leaders may choose to remain, just as the moon remains with the tides.
The event also honored various organizations for their remarkable initiatives, programs, and events, as well as individuals for their outstanding performance and contributions as student leaders. โจ๐
Beyond the awards and recognition, however, it is the impact of one's service that truly matters. It is the lessons learned, the challenges overcome, and the growth experienced throughout the journey that remain long after a term has ended. ๐ซ
Congratulations to all student leaders of AY 2025โ2026!

Leadership is not only measured by position, but by the values we choose to live out in service. โจ๐
As part of Sinayon: The Golden Flame 2026, we proudly recognize the student leaders who embodied the PEN Values of Integrity, Competence, Commitment, Professionalism, Teamwork, Openness, and Patriotism. ๐ซ
Your leadership has remained as a flame of service, excellence, and purpose within the student community. ๐
Congratulations to all PEN Values Awardees! May your example continue to inspire others to lead with heart, character, and responsibility.

Yesterday, May 21, โThe Grand Line Journeyโ challenged the crews to complete six different stations within 1 hour and 20 minutes: Flip & Match, Calm Belt: Blind Walk, Loguetown: Water Balance, Baratie: Rope Challenge, Marineford: Cup Shot, and Pingpong Relay. Each station tested the participantsโ teamwork, communication, patience, and determination as they worked together under time pressure.
As the energy from the challenges slowly settled, the atmosphere at the Studentsโ Plaza shifted into something more solemn and reflective for the washing of the feet. Atty. Mike Datario, co-adviser of the SSC, formally opened the ceremony with a message about humility in leadership. He emphasized that one of the realities of leadership is learning how to accept differing opinions and perspectives. He reminded the student leaders that they will not always agree with the people around them, yet they must still choose to listen, understand, and serve with humility.
The washing of the feet then began with the incoming SSC President, Pres. Reevo, washing the feet of the incoming LSC and UWO Heads, who then did the same for their fellow officers, creating a domino effect throughout the gathering. More than a symbolic act, it reflected the deeper essence of servant leadership. It showed a kind of leadership grounded not in power or recognition, but in humility, compassion, and the willingness to serve others first.

A while ago, crew members were in their chosen Paliwawa breakout sessions through Google Meet, gathered in different rooms per topic. The session began with a listening activity led by student leaders from Southwestern University PHINMA namely Mr. Louie Figueroa, Mr. Rance Martel, and Mr. Luegi Mancao, focusing on Environmental, Economics, and Governance discussions.
This was followed by a booklet activity with reflection questions and group planning, where participants developed a solution or project aligned with their chosen SDG, with some rooms continuing discussions until they were able to finalize their outputs.
Paliwawa is anchored on โSangkarakelan,โ meaning community, one of the core concepts of this yearโs camp that highlights connection beyond the university and encourages meaningful engagement on social issues through shared learning and collaboration.

Earlier today, the day started with a prayer through worship, followed by warm-up exercises and a jog from the 8th floor Riverside to PHINMA Avenue. After breaking a sweat, participants were given time for โMe Timeโ before heading back to the 8th floor Riverside for a discussion on the introduction of the Katipunan Formation Program led by Janice Hebron.
During the session, Ms. Hebron shared that the root word of โKatipunanโ is tipon, which means gathering or coming together. She explained that the formation program is a tipon for past and present heroism, a tipon for faith and action, and a tipon for people united through love for God and country. The discussion also reminded participants that despite the challenges faced by society today, student leaders continue to carry hope for others and for the future.
Pres. Robert also gave a short reflection in relation to the current situation of the country before participants proceeded to their chosen Paliwawa breakout sessions, where different topics were offered for crew members to explore and discuss.
