Choosing a program in college and navigating student life come with many common stressors such as uncertainty about the future, academic pressure, financial concerns, and the weight of expectations from self and others.
For incoming college students, even the process of deciding what path to take can already feel overwhelming.
In moments like these, itโs important to pause and acknowledge what you feel. You donโt have to carry everything quietly or pretend to be okay all the time. Itโs okay to feel, to struggle, and to take your time in figuring things out. Feel it. Deal with it. Heal from it.

Our BA Psychology OJT students are now stepping beyond the classroom and into real-world practice, immersing themselves in the field of their choice (clinical, industrial/human resource, and educational settings) through our various linkages.
Guided by the standards of the Commission on Higher Education (CMO), On-the-Job Training (OJT) serves as a vital experiential learning opportunity where students apply their knowledge, skills, and values in actual workplace environments. This is where theories are tested, competencies are strengthened, and professional identity begins to take shape.
Each deployment is more than just a requirement; it is a meaningful step toward understanding people, improving systems, and making a difference in the communities they serve.
Good luck, future professionals! Your impact starts now. ๐

โItโs never too late to feel loved, seen, and connected.โ
On October 28, 2025, the AB Psychology researchers, in partnership with L.A Extension Services- University of Luzon and Psychenosi, successfully implemented the project โC-LA Lolo at Lola Naman: Fun, Talk, and Connectโ at ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ป๐ฐ. This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly,
This initiative was founded on the The study revealed that religious involvement, social engagement, and caregiver support are the primary factors that help elderly residents feel belongingness, love, and care within the institution. The findings highlighted that spirituality serves as a strong emotional foundation for the residents. Their faith and trust in God provide comfort and hope, even in the absence of family. Moreover, positive relationships with caregivers and peers greatly influence their perception of being valued and supported. The residents also expressed that active participation in group activities and daily interactions brings joy, purpose, and a sense of community.
In response to these findings, the researchers conducted three activities designed to enhance emotional and social well-being: the Umagang Kay Ginhawa, KwenTuwa: Afternoon Tambayan, and Expressions of Love. Through this initiative, the project aims to create a more vibrant, interactive, and compassionate care environment, where the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of our grandparents (lolo and lola) is prioritized alongside their physical health.
Indeed, this project reminds us that mental health is as important as physical health, and that kindness, faith, and community are important in sustaining the well-being of the elderly.
