The University of Camarines Norte (UCN) is laying the groundwork for its School of Law, which will soon offer the Juris Doctor (J.D.) program. As we prepare for this milestone, we are also building a law library that will serve as a vital resource for future generations of UCN law students.

This is where you can make a lasting difference.

The University of Camarines Norte (UCN) is continuously undertaking a comprehensive modernization of its gymnasium, introducing new building systems, spectator amenities, and mechanical upgrades designed to improve operational efficiency, occupant comfort, and safety for thousands of students, employees, and guests who use the facility throughout the year.

Now fully operational, the upgraded gymnasium has been fitted with 𝟏,𝟒𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐣𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐞𝐱𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐢𝐫-𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬 that supplement the cooling capacity of the facility. These improvements enhance air circulation, thermal comfort, and indoor environmental quality during academic, athletic, cultural, and community events.

With an overall capacity of approximately 3,000 occupants, the 𝐔𝐂𝐍 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞, enabling the university to accommodate large-scale commencement exercises, sports competitions, institutional programs, conferences, cultural performances, disaster-response activities, and other major public gatherings.

The upgrade of the UCN gymnasium focused on improving its operational capabilities while providing a safer, more functional environment for its users. Upgraded ventilation and cooling systems were integrated to support large crowds, while the additional seating enhances spectator accommodation during university and provincial events.

According to University President Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, DPA, the continuous improvements were undertaken to ensure that the facility continues to meet the growing needs of the university community while adhering to modern standards for public assembly venues.

The upgrades further strengthen the gymnasium's role as one of the university's primary multipurpose facilities, supporting intercollegiate competitions, student development programs, institutional activities, and partnerships with government agencies and community organizations.
