In a continued effort to expedite the success of its employees and students, Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) continued its series of Free Civil Service Eligibility Reviews, with Sessions 3-6 scheduled from August 5-6 and 12-13, 2023. This effort is geared toward the upcoming Civil Service Examinations on August 20, 2023.

The Session 3 of the review was infused with knowledge, led by Dr. Rosalie A. Almadrones, the Vice President for Research and Extension. She shared her expertise focusing on the Verbal Ability section which encompasses Grammar, Correct Usage, and Vocabulary.

During the Session 4 of the program, Ms. Elsa T. Manlangit, a Faculty member from the College of Arts and Sciences, reignited the passion of the participants. She graced the session with her presence, delving into the intricacies of Analytical Ability, including Logic and Data Interpretation.

In Session 5 of the review program, Dr. Delma Jean Abad, the CEID director, illuminated the day with her engaging presence. She led a captivating discussion on Verbal Ability, which covered Paragraph Organization and Reading Comprehension. Her delightful sense of humor brought the review program’s venue to life, captivating the audience and eliciting both attentive listening and hearty laughter.

Concluding the review series, Mr. Jefferson Dacer, the Chief Administrative Officer, maintained the attendees’ energy and enthusiasm for acing the anticipated exam. He provided insights into the General Information section of the exam.

The conclusion and culmination of CNSC’s Free Civil Service Eligibility Review marks another significant milestone in the journey. The institution continues to uphold its commitment to excellence, delivering the best service to its employees, stakeholders, and students while also considering to foster a sense of camaraderie and a conducive environment.

This year’s convention centered on the theme, “𝐹𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝑆𝑈𝐶𝑠 𝑇𝑜𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 𝐼𝑛𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑆𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦” and gathered the academic community composed of University/College Presidents, Deans and Campus Directors, and other academic officials across all regions of the country.

Plenary sessions of the three-day convention featured esteemed speakers from government and partner agencies which centered on exploring approaches to enhance SUC programs and initiatives, with focus on innovation, knowledge creation, intellectual capital, strategic partnership, and multi-level collaboration, all integral in increasing competitiveness and sustainability.

Together with the CNSC President, Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz, other CNSC delegates, Dr. Jocelyn E. Trinidad, Dean (College of Arts and Sciences); Dr. Arden Peejay L. Ezaki, Dean (College of Agriculture and Natural Resources; Dr. Ricardo D. Dino, Campus Director (College of Agriculture and Natural Resources); and Prof. Lovewiserlyn D. Oliva, Campus Director (College of Trades and Technology), were thankful for being a part of 2023 PASUC convention, where diverse stakeholders meet together and engage in collaborative discussions.

With the CNSC's goal of exploring opportunities and its plan to offer a BS Architecture undergraduate program, the members of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) Camarines Norte Chapter headed by Arch. Aaron Mirasol attended a brief meeting during their courtesy call to CNSC President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz at the CNSC Office of the President on August 14, 2023.

CHED ROV – The Camarines Norte State College, a premier higher education institution in the Bicol Region was awarded with nine (9) Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) last July 31, 2023, at the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office V (CHEDROV) in Legazpi City.

Attended by CHEDROV Education Program Specialists and staff, the awarding of certificates was personally presented by the CHED Regional Director, Atty. Septon A. Dela Cruz, CESO III to CNSC College President, Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz.

The CNSC undergraduate programs which obtain the certificate of programs compliance were:
• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program under the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) department;

• Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education major in Garments, Fashion and Design;
• Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education major in Electrical Technology;
• Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education major in Food and Service Management;
• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) major in Electrical Technology;
• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) major in Electronics Technology;
• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) major in Computer Technology;
• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT) major in Automotive Technology, all under the College of Trades and Technology (CoTT) Campus; and

• Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program under the Ret. Judge Antonio C. Entienza Campus.

Witnessing the activity were the key officials of CNSC, namely: VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Dolores C. Volante, Quality Assurance Office Director, Ms. Beverly V. Musa, Presidential Management Staff, Ms. Nicole Anne G. Panotes, respective deans and campus directors, Dr. Fernando H. Coratchea, Dr. Gehana D. Lamug, and Ms. Lovewiserlyn O. De La Cruz.

The newly awarded COPCs will serve as monumental evidences of CNSC’s commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to deliver the noble mission of education of highest standards while striving for continued pursuit of knowledge and innovation; transcending boarders and disciplines; and shaping the professionals and leaders of tomorrow to becoming responsible global innovators, compassionate public and corporate leaders, technologically skilled industry works/entrepreneurs, and social equity responsive individuals who will bring a positive impact to the Bicol region and to the world.

𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰

In an effort to empower its employees and students, Camarines Norte State College organized a Free Civil Service Eligibility Review, which was held at CNSC Main Campus Student Center, Daet on Saturday, July 29, 2023. The first day of this event proved to be highly fulfilling, providing attendees with essential knowledge and valuable insights to prepare for the upcoming Civil Service Exam scheduled on the third week of August.

During the opening ceremony, Ms. Nicole Anne G. Panotes, Presidential Management Staff (PMS), delivered a heartwarming welcome message, setting a positive and encouraging tone for the day. She emphasized that this activity is a priority program of the Office of the President, specifically, by our College President Dr. Marlo M. De La Cruz.

As the event transitioned to the lecture proper, all eyes were on Mr. Bryan M. Torres, a distinguished faculty member from the College of Education (CoEd), and the president of the CNSC Employees Association. Introduced by the PMS, Mr. Torres took the stage to guide the attendees through the intricacies of answering and deciphering the numerical ability part of the Civil Service Exam. Mr. Torres actively engaged the attendees, offering his unwavering support and sharing his knowledge with them.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮

With an equal sense of eagerness and enthusiasm, the reviewees persisted in attentively sitting and listening during Day 2 of the CSE Review on Sunday, July 30, 2023. In this lecture session, Ms. Elsa T. Manlangit, a faculty member from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), delved into the Analytical Ability section of the exam, which encompassed word association, as well as identifying assumptions and conclusions.

The success of the day 1 and 2 of the CSE Review was a testaments to the commitment of Camarines Norte State College in nurturing the potential of its employees and students. The institution’s dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning and empowerment was reflected in the beaming faces of the reviewees as they left the venue, carrying with them indelible knowledge and encouragement needed to thrive in the upcoming Civil Service Exam.

CNSC announces the hiring for faculty positions in the College of Business and Public Administration

𝐂𝐍𝐒𝐂 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟑 𝐈𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐋

The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) of Camarines Norte State College (CNSC) received 13 Intellectual Property (IP) Registrations from Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) consisting of 8 Utility Models and 5 Industrial Designs. The said IPs were initially filed last year (2022) as part of the I.G.N.I.T.E. program of the office/ unit and in parallel to the DOST-PCAARRD funded project under Program RAISE in Bicol. It can also be recalled that the institution filed a total of 62 IP applications (UMs, IDs and TMs) to the IPOPHL and 62 copyrights to the National Library of the Philippines. These numbers simply indicate that there is a growing culture of innovation among the academic community of CNSC as it continues to sail towards excellence across the mandates of a higher education institution.
