Today, July 20, 2026, our Health Care Services NC II trainees at Our Lady of Lourdes College Founation learned the proper ways to transport patients safely from their beds to wheelchairs and stretchers without any pain or injury.

โ€‹In this practical session, students practiced key skills like locking wheelchair brakes, using transfer boards, and applying correct body mechanics. Learning these proper lifting techniques helps protect both the patient from falling and the Health Care Assistant/ Nursing aide from back injuries during transfers.

โ€‹This impactful training session was successfully facilitated by Dr. Janette D. Kho, RMT. With strong guidance and a heart for service, our learners are building the skills and care needed to give every patient the dignity they deserve.

Learning goes beyond the classroom as our Health Care Services NC II trainees put their knowledge into practice through actual hands-on activities.

They are conducting blood pressure (BP) and weight measurements, along with gathering other essential health information from our Junior High School students. This practical exercise, under the guidance of Dr. Janette D. Kho, RMT, allows our trainees to enhance their clinical skills while promoting health awareness within the school community.

Meanwhile, our Caregiving NC II trainees are actively demonstrating the proper techniques in wearing gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This essential competency, facilitated by their trainer, Ms. Geneliza D. Kho, RN, emphasizes the importance of infection prevention, safety, and professionalism in caregiving and healthcare services.

These training activities provide valuable real-world experience, helping our trainees build competence, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility. Through continuous hands-on learning and expert guidance, we remain committed to producing skilled, compassionate, and work-ready healthcare professionals who are prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare industry.

The Training Induction Program (TIP) for Health Care Services NC II at Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation was successfully conducted today, July 08, 2026, marking the official first day of the program before the formal skills training begins.

The TIP was led by Ma'am Merlitz Cabili Yanto, Supervising TESD Specialist, who thoroughly discussed TESDA scholarship policies, trainee responsibilities, and administrative guidelines to ensure compliance and accountability.

Following the TIP, the trainees were introduced to their trainer, Dr. Janette D. Kho RMT, who outlined the curriculum roadmap, safety protocols, and laboratory expectations for the next six months.

The orientation for JDVP students at Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation welcomed new participants, including students from San Filipe National High School and Moreno Integrated School.

The session introduced students to the JDVP's mission, values, and the opportunities they would have to develop important skills in areas such as Food and Beverage Services, Bread and Pastry Production, and Cookery. Students were given an overview of the hands-on activities and practical training that would help them build expertise in these fields.

The event also outlined the expectations for student behavior, attendance, and active participation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, meet their fellow participants, and interact with mentors.

This gathering helped the students, including those from San Felipe National High School and Moreno Integrated School, feel prepared and excited to start their journey with JDVP, as they gained insights into the skills they would develop in the food and hospitality industries
