𝟏. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 (𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐒)?
BSIS is a degree program that combines business, management, and information technology. It focuses on designing, developing, and managing information systems that help organizations solve real-world problems and improve business processes.
𝟐. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐗𝐈𝐒?
PRAXIS (Proficient Architects of Information Systems) is the official student organization for BSIS students at UCN.
𝟑. 𝐃𝐨 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐒?
No. Prior programming experience is not required. You will learn the fundamentals of programming during your first year. What matters most is your willingness to learn, practice, and stay curious.
𝟒. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧?
The programming languages depend on the curriculum. Last academic year, Java was used in Computer Programming, so there is a possibility it will be used again. However, this may change depending on your instructors and curriculum.

Yes, but the focus is more on logic, statistics, and analytical problem-solving rather than advanced mathematics.

A laptop is not strictly required during your first year, but it is a big advantage. It allows you to practice coding, complete assignments more conveniently, and work on projects outside school.
