With hearts full of ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐, the LCCD community honors Sr. Angelita J. Sagun, OSA, whose faithful service as President of La Consolacion College of Daet, Inc. has been a beacon of wisdom, compassion, and dedication. Her leadership has nurtured generations of Consolites, guiding us with the Augustinian spirit of ๐ค๐ท๐ฒ๐ฝ๐, ๐๐ฑ๐ช๐ป๐ฒ๐ฝ๐, ๐ช๐ท๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ป๐พ๐ฝ๐ฑ.
As we bid farewell with deep appreciation, we joyfully welcome Sr. Delia S. Juliano, OSA as our new President. With her vision and devotion, we look forward to new horizons of growth and excellence, confident that her leadership will inspire us to reach greater heights in our shared mission.
In the words of St. Augustine, reminding us of the sacred responsibility of leadership:
โI am a Christian for my own sake, but a leader for yours.โ
This profound truth calls us to see authority not as privilege, but as service โ a burden carried with love for the good of the community.
May this transition be blessed with harmony and strength, as together we continue to live out the values of โUnity, Charity, and Truth.โ

Position Statement of the Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation โ ASOLC Schools) On Supporting the Peopleโs Initiative for a Genuine Anti-Political Dynasty Law
As Catholic educational institutions under the Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (ASAS), guided by the charism of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, we stand in solidarity with the growing movement for genuine political reform in the Philippines. In unity with Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, the Dapat Isa Lang Movement, and in coordination with Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan, we express our full support for the Peopleโs Initiative for a Genuine Anti-Political Dynasty Law.
For decades, the Filipino people have waited for the constitutional mandate against political dynasties to be fulfilled. Article II, Section 26 of the 1987 Constitution clearly provides that the State shall prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law. Yet despite repeated opportunities, legislative action has either failed to prosper or has resulted in proposals that many sectors believe have diluted the true intent of constitutional reform.
The repeated weakening of reform measures has led many citizens, Church institutions, educators, youth leaders, and civil society organizations to recognize that meaningful change may no longer come through traditional legislative processes alone. The time has come for citizens themselves to reclaim the democratic mechanisms granted by the Constitution.
We therefore support the ongoing call for a Peopleโs Initiativeโa constitutional democratic process through which at least ten percent (10%) of registered voters nationwide, with the required geographic representation, may directly propose a law for ratification by the people through a national referendum administered by the Commission on Elections.
We believe this is not merely a political campaign. It is a moral response to a structural injustice that has long restricted democratic participation, concentrated power among a few families, and weakened opportunities for servant leadership to emerge from ordinary communities.
As educators in the Augustinian tradition, we affirm that public office is a trust given by the people, not an inheritance passed through bloodline or political machinery. Democracy thrives when leadership is accessible to those who possess competence, integrity, and a genuine heart for service.
Through our schools, we commit ourselves to promoting civic education, constitutional literacy, ethical leadership, and responsible participation in democratic processes. We encourage our academic communities to engage in peaceful, lawful, and informed civic action for the common good.
We stand with the Filipino people in asserting that when institutions fail to act with courage, democracy empowers citizens to act with conscience.
The call is no longer simply for legislation. The call is for citizen action. The call is for democratic reform through the people themselves.
In unity, in charity, and in truth,
Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (ASAS)

Committed to strengthening the schoolโs socio-pastoral initiatives, Sr. Angelita J. Sagun, OSA (School President), Mrs. Marisol Weber (MRBOC Coordinator) and Mr. Aaron A. Saludes (NSTP Coordinator & Admissions Officer) represented the institution at the three-day convention.
The first day featured a keynote on "Caritas in the Teachings of St. Augustine: A Challenge for 21st-Century Leaders," followed by a presentation on SPM directions aligned with the 24th General Chapter Resolutions. On the second day, participants engaged in workshops to develop a four-year SPM Roadmap using SWOT and PESTLES analyses. The assembly concluded on the third day with joint sessions of school heads focused on building sustainable extension services and strengthening collaboration among ASAS, MRBOC, and SPM.
Through this engagement, LCC-Daet reaffirms its commitment to following St. Augustineโs lead. By implementing these new strategies, the institution aims to better support the personal and social growth of the entire school community.
