The Culture of Corruption in a Fraternity

Corruption in a fraternity doesn’t always mean money—it can mean abuse of power, favoritism, manipulation, or using one’s position for personal benefit instead of service. It appears when leaders forget the values of brotherhood and start treating authority as privilege, not responsibility.

This culture weakens unity, destroys trust, and divides brothers. When members stay silent, corruption becomes tradition—and tradition becomes destruction.

True fraternity leadership is built on integrity, fairness, and service to others. To end corruption within, every brother must stand for what is right, not for who is in power.

Brotherhood is sacred—let’s protect it from the corruption of ego and greed.

During the 1990s era, members were respectable, disciplined, and well-educated—many were professionals. Unlike today, it seems that anyone can easily become a member, as if having more members automatically make things better.

With that kind of membership, we can no longer expect to produce future leaders for the government and the community.

Quality over quantity should always be upheld to restore the former standards of the brotherhood, as the image of AKP is being severely tarnished.
