APP NC2 TRAINING UPDATE: Hands-on Excellence in Poultry Production! 🐔✨

​It was a highly productive day for our Animal Production (Poultry Chicken) NC II trainees here at Loraña Farm and Technical Institute, Inc.! Our scholars are diving deep into the science and heart of poultry management.

​Today’s intensive training sessions included:

​🔹 Precision Vaccination
Trainees gained hands-on experience performing nasal and ocular drops, ensuring every chick receives the protection it needs with the right technique.

​🔹 The "Happy Chicken" Standard vs. Industry Benchmarks
We explored the best of both worlds! Trainees performed the proper way of brooding according to the Loraña’s Happy Chicken Standard, focusing on bird comfort and natural vitality. They also practiced TESDA standards for UC2 (Brood and Grow Chicks) to ensure they are globally competitive and industry-ready.

​🔹 Mastering Medication & Nutrition
Back in the classroom, Mr. Oliver Loraña led a detailed lecture on the Loraña’s Happy Chicken Vaccination and Medication Strategy. A key highlight was the practical demonstration on how to accurately interpret drug literature labels and feed tag literature—essential skills for any successful poultry entrepreneur.

​We are especially proud of this batch, composed of dedicated coconut farmers under the Coconut Farmers Scholarship Program. These trainees are active members of the Silangan Coconut Farmers and Organic Agriculture Association (SCoFOAA). 🌴🥥
​By integrating poultry production with organic agriculture, these farmers are building a more sustainable and diversified future for their community!

The students of Lun Padidu National High School recently celebrated their Tech-Voc Day with an inspiring session led by resource speaker Oliver L. Loraña.

​Aligned with this year's theme, "TVE/TVL: Turning Skills to Opportunities," the event focused on empowering TVL (Technical-Vocational-Livelihood) students to see their practical skills as the foundation for future success.

​It was a great day of learning as the students explored how to bridge the gap between classroom training and real-world career paths. Seeing the next generation of skilled professionals so engaged is a fantastic sign for the future of our local industries!

This afternoon, we successfully conducted the releasing of toolkits to the beneficiaries of Hon. Loreto Ton Acharon under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) 2024 of TESDA for Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II.

Each beneficiary received a starter package consisting of a knapsack, pail, weighing scale, feeder, and waterer to support their poultry production activities.

The beneficiaries also expressed their heartfelt thanks to Hon. Ton Acharon for his continuous support in providing livelihood opportunities and helping them start their poultry production journey.

We extend our gratitude to Hon. Ton Acharon for uplifting the livelihood of our community members through skills training and livelihood assistance.
