The Department of Education (DepEd) Cebu Province, through Division Memorandum No. 880, s. 2025, formally announced the GAD-Based DepEd Cebu Province Stakeholders Summit 2025, an annual gathering that lauds individuals, organizations, and institutions who have significantly supported public schools, which took place on November 21, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City, with the theme “Addressing Challenges in Education Through Strong and Sustained Partnership,”

Among the honorees was Innodata Knowledge Services, Inc. (IKSI), recognized as the Stakeholder Champion of Daanbantayan District I, which received a Bronze award for donating two fully functional, transferable classrooms to Daanbantayan Central Elementary School which valued at roughly P600,000.

The company shared the distinction with organizations such as Aboitiz Foundation, Arla Foods Corporation, and Concentrix CVG Philippines Inc.

In light of the recent calamity affecting the Municipality of Daanbantayan, which has necessitated the suspension of face-to-face classes, all schools have shifted to Alternative Delivery Modes, predominantly printed modular learning. However, due to the limited resources of Daanbantayan Central Elementary School and the extended duration of modular implementation, the school is currently experiencing exhaustion and shortage of essential printing supplies needed for the continuous reproduction of modules, activity sheets, reading materials, and other learning resources tailored to the needs of our learners.

In this regard, Daanbantayan Central Elementary School is humbly accepting donations of printers essential printing supplies such as A4 bond papers, EPSON 003 printer inks, Fuji toner, and drum units. These will greatly support our ongoing learning delivery.

Daanbantayan, Cebu — A fire broke out at Daanbantayan Central Elementary School around 4:00 a.m., damaging three old “Bagong Lipunan” classrooms that were being used by Grade 1 pupils.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to other school buildings. While parts of the classrooms remain standing, the rooms sustained heavy damage and can no longer be used for classes.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire as they assess the full extent of the damage.

Our school sustained damage due to the recent earthquake, affecting some classrooms and facilities. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but repairs and support are now greatly needed to restore a safe learning environment for our pupils.

The event gathered many participating schools, showcasing their vibrant talents and performances. Your hard work, discipline, and passion truly brought pride and honor to our school and community.
