𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | ICCS Alumna Receives AY Foundation National Discipline Award

Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, Inc. (ICCS), alumna Catherine Joy B. Impal was recognized as one of the recipients of the prestigious AY Foundation National Discipline Award during the 34th National Discipline Awardees' Gathering held at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City, on June 16.

With the theme “Stronger Together,” the gathering brought together 525 outstanding graduating high school students from various schools across the country who exemplified discipline, integrity, courage, and self-sacrifice. Impal was among the awardees honored for embodying these values through her commitment to leadership, service, and academic excellence. Her recognition was also featured in The Philippine Star on June 16, highlighting the achievements of this year’s National Discipline Award recipients.

Established in 1990, the AY Foundation National Discipline Award is an annual recognition program that honors graduating high school students who serve as role models in their schools and communities by demonstrating strong moral character alongside academic and extracurricular excellence.

A STEM graduate of ICCS, Impal completed her senior high school education on March 24, 2026. Throughout her 12 years in the institution, she distinguished herself as a dedicated student leader, campus journalist, and active participant in numerous school initiatives.

Impal served as the President of the Student Coordinating Body, News Writer of The Marian Gazette, and Promotional Scriptwriter Head of ICCSMedia. Through these roles, she demonstrated exemplary leadership, effective communication, and a strong commitment to service while actively promoting student engagement and school programs. Her recognition as an AY Foundation National Discipline Awardee reflects not only her accomplishments in leadership and journalism but also her commitment to Marian values rooted in discipline, integrity, responsibility, and selfless service.
