𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲-𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝟮-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 🚑

Bangsamoro Science High School (BSHS) successfully conducted a 2-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training facilitated by the DRRM-H Team of the Ministry of Health, with the support of Dr. Kadil M. Sinolinding, Jr., DPBO, Minister of Health, and spearheaded by Dr. Analyn G. Dimapanat, MPH, DRRM-H Medical Coordinator. The training equipped faculty and staff with vital emergency response skills.

The training aimed to strengthen the participants’ capability to respond effectively to life-threatening situations within the school and the wider community. It covered essential topics such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) management, and the proper use of life-saving equipment, including the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants actively engaged in hands-on demonstrations and simulations, ensuring practical understanding and readiness during emergencies.

A total of 22 participants successfully completed the training and were awarded identification cards as certification, authorizing them to confidently perform and apply these life-saving skills whenever the need arises.

With this initiative, BSHS continues to promote a culture of preparedness, safety, and resilience among its personnel.

In coordination with the Cotabato City Government and the Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office , through the leadership of Rashman Nazer D. Lim, Head of the Cotabato City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the Bangsamoro Science High School successfully conducted its first Earthquake Drill at the BSHS Campus.

This activity is part of the Request for Technical Assistance and Supervision of a Series of Earthquake Drills, aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety and resilience of students, faculty, and staff.

Through this initiative, BSHS continues to promote awareness, proper response, and readiness in times of emergencies—empowering the school community with life-saving knowledge and skills.

The Bangsamoro Science High School (BSHS), together with the technical assistance and supervision of the Bureau of Fire Protection - BARMM, Cotabato City, successfully conducted a Fire Drill last March 24, 2026.

This initiative marks the beginning of a series of emergency preparedness activities, including Earthquake Drills. This activity is aimed at strengthening the readiness of students, faculty, and staff in responding to various emergency situations.

Through these efforts, BSHS continues to promote a culture of safety, awareness, and resilience—ensuring that every member of the community is equipped with the knowledge and confidence to act effectively in times of crisis.

Together, we move forward toward a safer and more prepared BSHS community. 🚨✨

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲: 𝗔 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 ✊🏻

58 years ago, a remote section of Corregidor Island bore witness to the massacre of Moro military recruits. These young men were part of a secret mission known as Operation Merdeka, an event now etched in history as the 𝗝𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲 of March 18, 1968.

The tragedy left only one survivor, Jibin Arula, whose testimony revealed the truth and sparked the calls for Moro self-determination. In the aftermath, Moro youth in Manila rose in protest, and several organizations were formed in response to the injustices of the massacre.

Under this year’s Bangsamoro History Month theme, “Reclaiming Our Story, Preserving Our Identity, and Restoring Our Dignity,” let us recall the past to trace the roots of our struggle and honor the lives that changed our history forever.

The 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗕𝗦𝗛𝗦) shared the spirit of Ramadhan by distributing Ramadhan Food Packs to its dedicated faculty and staff as the blessed month draws to a close. This simple gesture reflects the school’s gratitude for the unwavering commitment and service of the BSHS community.

As we approach the celebration of Eid, may this act of sharing remind us that the true essence of the season lies in compassion, unity, and gratitude.
