Ramadhan Free Iftar 2026
The College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the CAS Local Student Council, successfully conducted a Ramadhan Free Iftar on March 12, 2026, at Cotabato State University. This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generous sponsorship of MP Baileng Simpal Utto Mantawil and Instr. Mamatanto Usop, whose support helped bring the spirit of Ramadhan to the university community and beyond.
Headed by the dean, Dr. Marwisa Salam, the distribution of iftar meals was carried out in three batches:
โข First Batch: Iftar meals for administrators, office staff, and students, sponsored by MP Baileng Simpal Utto Mantawil.
โข Second Batch: Iftar meals for faculty members, sponsored by Instr. Mamatanto Usop.
โข Third Batch: Sponsored by the CAS Local Student Council, distribution outside the school premises where drivers and commuters passing by were also offered free iftar meals.
Though a simple gesture, the activity brought smiles to many who were observing the fast and served as a reminder of the true essence of Ramadhanโkindness and generosity.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will receive the same reward as him, without decreasing anything from the fasting person's reward." (Tirmidhi, 807).
