The 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 features the upcoming Research Seminar-Workshop entitled:

“𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙮,” organized for the 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Social Work students of Cotabato State University–College of Arts and Sciences.

Set on April 15–16, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM via online GMeet and Facebook, the seminar seeks to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in conducting research, with a focus on data analysis and results presentation. It highlights the use of both quantitative and qualitative approaches as essential tools in producing credible and meaningful scholarly outputs.

More than a learning session, the activity provides an avenue for students to take on active roles as facilitators. This initiative allows them to bridge theory and practice, while developing their leadership, communication, and collaborative skills in an academic setting.

The seminar will be led by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗧. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻, whose expertise will guide participants in transforming raw data into relevant insights that can inform responsive and evidence-based social work practice.

Through this academic engagement, future social workers are encouraged to become not only competent researchers but also critical thinkers and agents of change in their respective communities.

📍 BENCHMARKING VISIT | February 4, 2026

The Cotabato State University – Social Work Department warmly welcomes the benchmarking visit of 𝗠𝗠𝗚 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝗻𝗰., headed by Dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐂. 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐫𝐚, together with Ma’am 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐀. 𝐎𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭, Ma’am 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐈. 𝐂𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜, and Sir 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞.

The visit served as a meaningful platform for academic exchange, during which the department shared its best practices in teaching and learning strategies, faculty development, instructional materials, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) mechanisms.

On the first day, delegates enjoyed the 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿 led by JSWAP National in partnership with the City Tourism Office—an opportunity to experience the culture, history, and warmth of the “City of Love.”

The following day was dedicated to the 𝗖𝗕𝗟 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where each cluster worked on their assigned sections in the morning, followed by the presentation and consolidation of outputs in the afternoon. A day filled with collaboration, deliberation, and shared commitment to strengthening the organization.

Day three focused on the 𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗚𝗶𝗹, 𝗥𝗦𝗪, 𝗠𝗦𝗦𝗪, who delivered an inspiring discussion on “Future Leaders of the Helping Professions: Skills for the New Generation.” The assembly concluded with the 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 and a heartwarming 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 celebrating unity and leadership among future social workers.

This meaningful engagement reflects JSWAP CotSU’s commitment to leadership, service, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in the social work profession. 💜
