As part of the End-of-Term Block under DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026, Datu Ayunan National High School conducted its School-Based In-Service Training (INSET), providing teachers with meaningful opportunities for professional development, reflection, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Anchored on the theme, “Strengthening a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment: Empowering Teachers through Responsive Classroom Management, Effective Instruction and Assessment, Child Protection, Literacy and Numeracy Interventions, and Strategic School Improvement,” the training focused on strengthening teachers’ knowledge, skills, and classroom practices.
The activity featured the school’s Master Teachers as resource speakers, sharing their expertise on key areas of professional practice. Marina U. Gadzali and Naima S. Saban discussed Classroom Management and Positive Discipline; Salama B. Butongkay facilitated Lesson Plan Preparation using the ILAW Format; while Doreen C. Prial and Johnny P. Labayno shared insights on Classroom Assessment, the New Grading System, and Assessment Tools.
Also contributing to the learning sessions was Leah V. Basco, Child Protection Focal, who discussed School-Based Child Protection Reporting, Referral and Response Pathways, as well as ICT Integration and AI Tools for Teachers.
The activity was further enriched by the message of Baibon Aiza M. Gani, MAEd, School Head, highlighting the importance of continuous professional growth in building a safe, inclusive, and responsive learning environment for every learner.
A meaningful End-of-Term Block—reflecting on our practice, strengthening our capacity, and preparing to serve our learners even better in the next term.
