Coronation Night: June 2, 2023

The DPOCI Criminology Interns joined the Bureau of Correction in conducting a practical shooting last March 4, 2023, as part of their Practicum Program.

Good marksmanship requires the ability to precisely place shots in the desired area. It is especially important when hunting or shooting competitively, as precision and accuracy are essential in order to ensure a successful hunt or shot.

The ability to accurately place shots and aim at the exact desired target area means that one can make the most out of their equipment and environment. Even with the best gear and tactical knowledge, without good marksmanship, one cannot make the most out of their situation.

Each facility is typically overseen by one or more supervisory personnel responsible for ensuring that all weapon safety rules are followed at all times.

The College of Criminology celebrates its criminology week with the theme: “Unity Amidst Diversity in Pursuit of Excellence” on November 22 - 24, 2022, held at Dr. P. Ocampo Colleges, Inc.

I challenge you, in your growth as a leader and a protector of society and justice, to be willing to face – and even embrace – sacrifice when it is called for, to help the people and the society to thrive. Remember, we have to “give up to go up.” I believe that no matter how challenging the sacrifice, you will end up understanding that it was worth it to take your leadership to the next level.
