MSSD, 4Ps conducted CSO Forum: LBO elected as member of the Regional Independent Monitoring Committee (RIMC).

Cotabato City - Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) conducted yesterday Civil Society Organization (CSO) Forum held at BPDA Conference Hall 2, Bangsamoro Government Center Compound, in Cotabato City. More than ten CSOs representatives form Maguindanao and Cotabato City, which have been oriented on RA 11310, also known as the 4Ps Act.

Each CSO representative was given the opportunity to present the programs and activities of their organization to map out their programs and services that are matched and can complement the 4Ps program of the MSSD.

Each area of engagement of CSOs in the 4Ps program was also discussed during the forum.

The highlight of the forum was the election of CSO representative who will sit in the Regional Independent Monitoring Committee (RIMC) where the League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO) was elected unopposed. Community and Family Services International (CFSI)

was also elected as a member of the RIMC.

COMMUNITY LEADER’S DIALOGUE HELD AS PART OF THE LBO’S FORUM ON UNITY AND PEACE PROJECT

December 25, 2023 –

Cotabato City - With funding supports from the Office of Member of the Parliament Mohammad Kellie U. Antao, Al hadj, the Unite for Peace Movement (UPM) successfully conducted yesterday a Dialogue for Unity and Peace for the community leaders from twelve (12) Barangays of the newly created municipality of Pahamodin in the Special Geographic Areas for Development Authority (SGADA).

The said dialogue was attended by more than sixty (60) individuals most of them leaders of various Committees of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (M**F) such as the Political Committee, United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), Women and Youth Sector and Da'awah Committee and elected barangay chairmen.

The purpose of the said activity is to identify and discuss the issues, challenges and concerns that affect the citizens of Pahamodin municipality and provide a corresponding solutions.

Musrif ol Masagid Ustadz Abdulrahman Padian Omar gave the Opening Du'a, Pahamodin Political Committee Chairman Ustadz Suwaib Dianalan provides the Welcome remarks, and UPM Chairman of the Board Mohammad Sheikh Abbas Guiaman gave the Words of Wisdom.

LBO Committee on Information Communication technology Chairman Abdulbasit Benito gave the rationale and overview of the Dialogue.

The Peace framework of LBO's Unity and Peace program was presented by LBO President Prof. Hashim B. Manticayan.
The highlight of the dialogue was the Dialogue proper facilitated by LBO Vice President for Internal Affairs Yusop Lumambas where participants gave their different views on the issues they are facing.
As the lead discussant, Lumambas categorized the issues and concerns presented by the participants. This includes among others, political issues, the problem caused by the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections. The second is the religious problem, there is a problem in the Da'awah and the third is the Socio-economic problem in the community.

The participants proposed solutions, one of which are strengthening of Da'awah to provide a solution to the Spiritual problem.

LBO Recruitment and Membership Committee Chairman Abdulbasir Mustapha facilitated the ways forward. There will be a series of Peace Forum that will be conducted in the Pahamodin, SGADA. There will be a total of three (3) “Fora” in the twelve (12) barangays that will be clustered into three (3). Each Forum will be participated by 100 multi-stakeholders composed of barangay leaders from the PolCom, SWC, Tarbiyah, Da’wah, Hay-atul Ulama, Lujnatul Ulya, Information, UBJP, youth, CSO, BLGU, BIAF and MNLF. SGDA Administrator Butch Malang, Peace Security and Reconciliation Office (PSRO) Director Anwar Alamada “Young Fighter” and resource persons who are expert on the topics will be identified.
In his messages of support, Member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Mohammad Kellie U. Antao committed to support the conduct of Value Transformation Training (VTT) to be conducted to the newly elected barangay chairmen of the 12 barangays and chairmen of the PolCom.

The closing message was delivered by Pahamodin Coordinator Datu Ibrahim Rahman.
