LOOK | The BTA-Legislative Reference Division, which serves as the Legislative Library and Archives of the Bangsamoro Parliament, marked a significant milestone on September 3, 2026, with the opening of its new office and the official launch of its Library Management System (LMS).
Held at the Hashim Salamat Building, the event brought together parliamentary officials, chiefs and directors of BTA Organic Offices, personnel, guests, and partners in celebrating the Division's continuing efforts to enhance library, archival, and legislative information services in support of the work of the Bangsamoro Parliament.
The occasion was more than the opening of a new office. It marked the strengthening of the Bangsamoro Parliament's Legislative Library and Archives as a vital center for legislative information, research, and records preservation, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable and accessible information for Members of Parliament, personnel, researchers, and other users.
In his welcome remarks, Engr. Abdulgani L. Manalocon, MBA, JD, Director II of the Legislative Technical Affairs and Information Service (LTAIS), underscored the importance of continuously strengthening the services and resources that support the legislative work of the Parliament.

A highlight of the program was the official launch of the LMS, a significant step toward making the Division's library resources more organized, searchable, and accessible.
The ceremonial activation was led by ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ฒ. ๐๐๐ข ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ง, representing ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ค๐๐ซ ๐๐๐, ๐ญ๐จ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ๐, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐ง๐ ๐ค๐๐ฅ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ง, Chief of LRefD.
With the system officially activated, the LRefD demonstrated how technology can enhance the management and accessibility of library resources. The LMS is designed to help users easily discover available materials while enabling the Division to manage its growing collection more efficiently and effectively.
Following the LMS launch and the formal program, guests proceeded to the third floor of the building for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the formal opening of the new LRefD office.
The new facility provides the LRefD with a dedicated space for delivering library, archival, and legislative reference services while strengthening the preservation and accessibility of the Bangsamoro Parliament's institutional memory.
For the Legislative Reference Division, the occasion was more than the inauguration of a new facility or the launch of a digital system. It was a celebration of progress and a reaffirmation of the essential role that libraries, archives, and information services play in supporting legislation, preserving institutional memory, and strengthening the Parliament's commitment to serving the Bangsamoro people.
