DMASSIS-Matuber successfully conducted an Orientation on DepEd's Intervention Programs for the Prevention of Bullying and Other Related Cases, as well as Child Protection Policies, led by Mr. Joseph David M. Gatmaytan, School Guidance Counselor with the presence and support of Barangay Chairman Hon. Datu Zacaria I. Sinsuat, Chairman of the Committee on Education Kag. Leonardo Banayat, and PTA President , Mr. Cominie Kamid.
The activity highlighted the roles and responsibilities of the Child Protection Committee (CPC), the proper procedures in addressing learner misconduct from first to third offenses, the corresponding interventions and disciplinary measures, and the importance of proper documentation in handling cases. The discussion also emphasized the significance of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the functions of the Learner Formation Officer (LFO), and the vital role of parents, barangay officials, and community stakeholders in preventing and addressing bullying and other related concerns affecting learners.
Through this collaborative initiative, the school, together with parents and community partners, continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment where every learner is protected, respected, and guided toward positive behavior, responsible decision-making, and holistic development.
