The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education, through Youth Formation Development (YFD) Unit under the Directorate General for Basic Education (DGBE) conducted Regional Training of Trainers for Grade 10 Career Guidance Program (CGP) Module on September 16 to 19, 2025 at Sotogrande Hotel, Davao City.
The training aims to enhance the continuity of the career development process of the learners through equipping the guidance counselor or career advocate; to help and guide learners in choosing their specialization track; and to develop comprehensive CGP action plan to be implemented in their respective divisions and schools.
The Career Guidance Program (CGP) aims to strengthen its implementation in Junior High School (JHS) and Senior High School (SHS) to ensure that learners are equipped with the skills and values necessary for lifelong learning and employment.
Moreover, the resource persons for the training include the following:
•Ms. Elma L. Maliga, Education Program Supervisor, Basic Education Regional Office;
•Ms. Alanisa M. Bantuas, Head of the Youth Formation Development Unit and concurrent head of the Career Guidance Program;
•Ms. Saada J. Tubing, Education Program Supervisor, Basic Education Regional Office;
•Ms. Jona Kristen M. Valdez, RGC, from the DepEd Central Office;
• Dr. Faridah Abdullah-Mira-Ato, RGC, from the MSU-Maigo College of Education and Science;
• Ms. Lucita Sunshine G. Balucos, RGC, from DepEd SDO Kidapawan City;
•Mr. Abdurrahman B. Amerol, RGC, from SDO Lanao del Sur II;
•Ms. Armillah Pangcoga, from SDO Lanao del Sur I;
•Mr. Amerkhan I. Tan, from SDO Maguindanao del Norte; and
•Mr. Aladin Trinidad, from SDO Maguindanao del Sur;
They were supported by the technical staff: Ms. Tina A. Mantao and Mr. Zaher Esmael of Basic Education Regional Office.
The theme of the Career Guidance Program (CGP) is “Guiding Bangsamoro Learners to Success: Ensuring that No Bangsamoro Learner is Left Behind.”
