Observed nationwide every May 1, Labor Day in the Philippines honors the contributions of Filipino workers and the continuing pursuit of fair labor rights. Rooted in the countryโs early labor movement during the American colonial period, the occasion traces back to worker-led protests in Manila in 1903 before later being recognized as a public holiday.
More than a day of commemoration, Labor Day stands as a reminder that the strength of the nation is built through the dedication, skill, and perseverance of its workforce.
Today, we recognize and salute every Filipino worker. Happy Labor Day!

Energy and purpose filled the air as Cluster 1 rolled out its two-day Community Extension Program last April 18 and 19, bringing together various organizations in a shared mission to serve and uplift. From engaging seminars that sparked learning and awareness to heartfelt house-to-house distribution of relief goods, every activity reflected a strong spirit of bayanihan. Volunteers moved with enthusiasm, connecting with residents, sharing knowledge, and extending meaningful support where it mattered most. More than just an outreach, the event became a celebration of compassion in actionโproving that when people come together, small efforts can create lasting impact.
As the two-day initiative came to a close, it left behind not just supplies and shared knowledge, but a renewed sense of unity and hopeโreminding everyone that service, no matter how simple, can spark meaningful change in the community.
