In celebration of 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟒𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 proudly take part in 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗪: 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, held today, April 22, 2026, at Buaya-buaya, Kalanganan 2, Cotabato City.

Rooted in the principles of Community Development, this initiative highlights collective action, environmental stewardship, and community resilience. More than planting mangroves, it reflects our role as future practitioners in empowering communities and promoting sustainable development.

Yesterday marked a proud milestone for our college! The Community Development Students Organization (𝗖𝗗𝗦𝗢) is honored to have 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 the CAS Honors' Convocation for the 1st Semester of A.Y. 2025-2026, held on April 20, 2026 at the Biology Building.

The Community Development Department of Cotabato State University successfully conducted its Faculty Development Planning Workshop on March 25, 2026. This initiative aimed to strengthen the department’s academic direction and enhance faculty competencies in preparation for the 2026–2030 development plan.

The workshop was led by Dr. Norkaina C. Samama, and graced by the presence of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Dean, Dr. Marwisa S. Salam, RSW, whose inputs and support further emphasized thehouse importance of continuous professional development within the institution.

The workshop was actively attended by the Community Development faculty: Luz B. Santillan, MiSDS; Noraida M. Akad, RSW, MPA; Shayne S. Toñacao, MiSDS; Bailuna Kalis, MPA; Abdulfarid B. Amella, RSW, Ph.D; and Marof A. Nul, MPA.

Through collaborative discussions and planning, the department reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and responsive community engagement. This initiative marks a significant step toward building a more dynamic and future-ready Community Development Program.
