As we enter the final week of the 2025-2026 school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on one of our most cherished values: Simplicity. 🌿
In a world that often feels fast and complicated, our students have shown us that the most beautiful lessons come from the simplest moments. As the poster reminds us, "Simplicity is staying in the present and not making things complicated."
Whether it was sharing a laugh during recess, learning from the earth in our school garden, or simply being "natural" with one another, our OLJLC family has truly embraced what it means to live with a plain mind and a grateful heart.

We offer Preschool, Gradeschool, and Junior High School programs. We focus on nurturing students' personal and academic growth, fostering a love of learning in a supportive and faith-based environment.

Enrollment for all grade levels begins on April 6, 2026!

Artistic Expression & Empowerment: A Special Workshop 🎨✨

We are still feeling the inspiration from last Saturday, March 14!

Thanks to the incredible transportation support of our LGU, students from Our Lady of Joy Learning Center had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a creative workshop with renowned "naive art" artist, Paulina Constancia.
The workshop, held at the historic Cebu City Museum/Rizal Library building, was a beautiful afternoon dedicated to self-expression. Through words, music, and visuals, our students explored the theme of influential women in their young lives—a perfect tribute as we continue our celebration of Women's Month.
Seeing our students pour their hearts into their work was a reminder of the power of art to tell our stories and honor those who inspire us. 💞

A Legacy of Service: Reflecting on a Productive Year 🌟

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we are looking back at the incredible journey of our Grade 10 Z Club members. This year has been defined by a deep commitment to the Zonta Z Club advocacies—ranging from environmental stewardship and women’s empowerment to community service and international collaboration.

While these highlights represent only a portion of our school life, they showcase how our students have become true advocates for change.
Highlights of a Purposeful Year:

• Creative Advocacy: From July to August 2025, students upcycled wood into artistic cellphone stands, which were shared at the 2025 Macau DisCon to spread advocacy messages.
• Environmental Stewardship: In September 2025, members conducted a massive Clean-Up Drive at local fishpond and mangrove areas.
• Active Citizenship: Students attended a municipal hearing in Consolacion to support an ordinance institutionalizing the use of reusable water bottles to reduce plastic waste.
• Voices for Change: Grade 10 members participated in the 19th Tanghal Visayas Theater Festival in Biliran and performed at the International Day of Peace to promote environmental protection and cultural unity.
• Youth Empowerment: Students stood against bullying at the 3rd Teen Summit and inspired their peers to explore STEM during a campus-wide Robotics Orientation.

Together, we aren’t just celebrating past successes; we are building the foundation for a future where our students lead with heart, innovation, and a commitment to service. We can’t wait to see the incredible impact the rest of this school year will bring!

New Year. New Milestones.🎉

The first quarter of 2026 has been a testament to the growth and ambition of Our Lady of Joy. Amidst our school’s festivities, we celebrated a landmark achievement in our STEM program.

Our robotics team traveled to Vietnam to become the very first Philippine representatives in the history of the FTC Vietnam competition. Their hard work and passion for outreach earned them the 2nd Place Reach Award, proving that the joy of learning knows no borders. 🏆🌍
Congratulations to our history-makers! We are so excited to see where the rest of the year takes us.

PhilBot Update: The Final Push in Vietnam! 🇻🇳🇵🇭
What a rollercoaster! After a strong start at No. 5, a tough second game saw us slide to No. 19. But true to the PhilBot spirit, the team pivoted, recalibrated, and climbed back up to No. 10 this morning! 📈 We have two games left and our hearts are full.
This journey has been about so much more than robots. It’s a masterclass in real-life skills:
• Coopetition in Action: A massive shoutout to Tuti and her friend from a local Vietnamese team. When we faced disqualification over a technical tag issue, they stepped in and lent us an extra motor. Because of their kindness, we stayed in the game! 🤝
• Public Speaking: All those school practices paid off! The team handled judge and sponsor interviews with incredible poise and clarity.
• Artistic Flair: Our "pit decor" game is strong, but seeing the other teams has us inspired—next year, we’re bringing the full festival boards! 🎨
When asked what our #1 value learned was, the answer was simple: Tolerance. It’s the secret sauce that keeps these students planning, preparing, and playing year after year.
