𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐲 | 𝐈𝐤𝐚-𝟐1 𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Ngayong ika-21 ng Agosto, ating ginugunita ang Ninoy Aquino Day bilang pag-alala sa sakripisyo at paninindigan ni dating Senador Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr., na naging mahalagang bahagi ng kasaysayan ng ating bansa.

Sa bisa ng Republic Act No. 9256, na nilagdaan noong Pebrero 25, 2004, itinakda ang ika-21 ng Agosto bilang Ninoy Aquino Day at isang pambansang araw na walang pasok, bilang pagkilala at paggunita sa kaniyang ambag sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.

“The Filipino is worth dying for.”

Ang mga salitang ito ay sumasalamin sa matibay na pagmamahal ni Ninoy Aquino sa kaniyang bayan. Ang kaniyang tapang at paninindigan ay nagsilbing paalala sa bawat Pilipino ng kahalagahan ng kalayaan, demokrasya, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Sa araw na ito, ating alalahanin ang kaniyang buhay at sakripisyo, at ang mga aral na iniwan niya para sa mga susunod na henerasyon. Nawa’y magsilbi itong inspirasyon upang patuloy nating pahalagahan at pangalagaan ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Alalahanin. Pahalagahan. Ipagpatuloy ang paninindigan para sa bayan.

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗦 || The 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (𝐒𝐒𝐂) conducted two consecutive 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 on 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, together with the student councils of 𝐒𝐁𝐀𝐀, 𝐒𝐂𝐉𝐄, 𝐒𝐇𝐌, 𝐒𝐍, 𝐒𝐂𝐒, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐓𝐄 of 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, 𝐈𝐧𝐜.

The meetings focused on the 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐒𝐂’𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, particularly the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨, 𝐏𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭.

Hon. Sen. Aimee Marcos has allocated 500 Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) slots to Concepcion Holy Cross College (CHCC) for Academic Year 2026–2027.

Applications will be accepted tomorrow, August 13, 2026, on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.

📍 Venue: CHCC Covered Court

👉🏻 Students are encouraged to arrive early and bring all required documents. With only 500 available slots, applications will be accommodated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Must be enrolled in CHCC for the 1st Semester of AY 2026–2027.
2. Must not currently have an existing scholarship.

Note: This subsidy covers only one semester. Students may apply every year, subject to the availability of funds.

Requirements:
a. LRN Number
b. Certificate of Registration (COR) for 1st Semester, AY 2026–2027
c. Barangay Certificate of Indigency
d. Photocopy of PhilSys ID (National ID) printed on an A4-size bond paper (if applicable)
e. Photocopy of School ID or Valid ID printed on an A4-size bond paper (if National ID is not available)
f. Photocopy of Parents' 4Ps ID printed on an A4-size bond paper (if applicable)

Concepcion Holy Cross College, Inc. (CHCCI), through the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), actively participated in the Zonal Public Orientation on CHED Memorandum No. 18, Series of 2026: Inclusive and Comprehensive Policies and Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services, held at Hotel Seoul, Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles, Pampanga.

Representing the institution, Mr. Eurice C. Sison, LPT., MAEd., COAP, Director for Student Affairs and Services, joined Student Affairs and Services practitioners from higher education institutions across CAR, Region I, II, III and V in preparation for the implementation of the new Student Affairs and Services Structure, Guidelines, Monitoring and Evaluation Tools.

The orientation commenced with a welcome message from Dr. Maura Consolacion Cristobal, Director IV, Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III), followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson, Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

An overview of CHED Memorandum No. 18, Series of 2026 was presented by Ms. Rita P. Sescar, Chief Education Program Specialist, CHED Regional Office III, while the comprehensive presentation of the new policy was delivered by the Technical Working Group, headed by Dr. Corinna Frances O. Cabanilla, Director IV, Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS), Commission on Higher Education.

Through its participation, CHCCI reaffirms its commitment to aligning its Student Affairs and Services programs with CHED’s updated policies, ensuring the delivery of inclusive, responsive, and student-centered services that promote holistic student development and institutional excellence.
