The celebration continued in high spirits last night as students, faculty, and staff of Northern Iloilo State University Concepcion Campus gathered for the much-awaited Foam Party, one of the most exciting highlights of this yearโ€™s University Week Celebration.

Filled with music, lights, cheers, and overflowing school spirit, the activity transformed the campus grounds into a lively venue of fun and camaraderie as participants enjoyed the night with their classmates, colleagues, and friends.

The evening also served as the awarding ceremony for the different competitions held throughout the day. The BSEd Filipino Program took home the championship title in the Sadsad Competition, while BEEd 1 emerged victorious in the PathFit Day Competition.

Meanwhile, in the Best Dressed Competition, Clement Grace Catalan and RV Lardera were named winners in the student category for their standout looks and confidence. In the faculty and staff category, top honors were awarded to Inst. Darrel Morong and Mrs. Darlene Huele.

As the foam, music, and celebration filled the night, the activity became more than just a partyโ€”it became a reflection of the unity, creativity, and vibrant spirit of the Northern Iloilo State University Concepcion Campus community.

The streets burst with color and energy as students, faculty, and staff of Northern Iloilo State University โ€“ Concepcion Campus officially open the celebration of the 4th University Week through a lively sadsad parade and opening program anchored on the theme, โ€œExcellence in Motion: Leading with Integrity, Innovating with Purpose, and Transforming Communities.โ€

Wearing the colors of their respective departments, students from the different academic programs dance through the streets to the upbeat songs โ€œHawak Mo ang Beatโ€ and โ€œBuksan Mo,โ€ turning the parade route into a vibrant display of school pride, creativity, and camaraderie. Faculty and staff members also join the street dancing, adding to the excitement and festive atmosphere of the activity.

The celebration is further enlivened by the participation of the DLC of San Juan Academy, while judging areas stationed along the parade route bring an added sense of excitement and friendly competition among the participating groups.

During the opening program, Dr. Joey S. Dela Cruz emphasizes the importance of continuing to pursue excellence in all aspects of university life, encouraging students, faculty, and staff to remain committed to innovation, integrity, and service to the community.

As NISU Concepcion Campus marks four years since the transition from NIPSC to NISU, the opening sadsad and program reflect the strong spirit of unity, pride, and joy that continues to define the campus community.

With hearts committed to service and compassion, the Supreme Student Council of Northern Iloilo State University โ€“ Concepcion Campus conducts the 5th โ€œBulig Ko, Ipadayon Moโ€ community outreach program at Punting Primary School in Sitio Punting, Barangay Tambaliza.

Bringing not only school supplies, new pairs of slippers, and snacks, the student leaders also bring joy, encouragement, and hope to the young learners of the community. Through simple acts of generosity, the outreach reminds the children that they are seen, valued, and supported in their journey toward education.

The Public Forum for the Presidential Candidates of Northern Iloilo State University takes place today at the Victorino Salcedo Campus, gathering members of the University community for an important stage in the selection process for the next University President.

Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) announces the resumption of face-to-face classes across all its campuses starting April 13, 2026.

Students are encouraged to take simple precautions to help manage the heat while on campus.

In response to the forecasted heat index of 42ยฐC in Iloilo Province as reported by PAGASA, the Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) announces the temporary shift of all face-to-face classes to online learning modalities in the Main and across all its external campuses on April 8, 2026.

This measure is implemented to safeguard the health and well-being of students amid the extreme heat conditions. All classes shall be in synchronous and asynchronous online learning, and students are strongly advised to remain at home to avoid exposure to the high heat index and potential heat-related illnesses.

Meanwhile, university employees are expected to report to their respective campuses and continue performing their regular duties and responsibilities.
