𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Musical and visual expertise reigned as Main Campus Aggies Fest 2026 sparked its final afternoon with Song Writing and Same-Day Edit competitions at the Activity Center, September 24.
Participants brought their own interpretations to the festival through the songwriting competition, highlighting the expressive side of student agriculturists.
Meanwhile, the Same-Day Edit challenged Aggies to transform moments from the events into audio-visual stories, capturing the essence of the Fest.
Reflecting the energy of the back-to-back competitions, Future Farmers of the Philippines — Collegiate Chapter (FFPCC) Adviser Jermely D. Requina vocalized, "Mabuhay ang Agriculture Department, mabuhay ang Aggies!"
The afternoon session also included the awarding of winners of the previous competitions.

𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 '𝟮𝟲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯
Innovation and competition took the spotlight on the third day of “Aggies Fest 2K26: Rise of the Hunters” as student creators showcased technology-driven solutions while athletes battled for championship glory on September 24 at the Davao de Oro State College Main Campus.
At the Audio-Visual Room, student innovators presented their entries for the Technology Business Pitching Competition under the Food and Non-food Categories, transforming scientific concepts into practical solutions with potential applications in agriculture, food production, and sustainability.
The Food Technology category featured student-developed products designed to maximize agricultural resources and reduce waste, among the highlighted innovations were the Brassica Almond Dehydrated Cabbage Cookie, a value-added product utilizing cabbage; Flan de Pugo, which repurposes aesthetically rejected fresh quail eggs; and Hymenopteran Rambutan Coffee, a coffee innovation produced through solar dehydration to promote sustainable processing practices.
Running alongside the food presentations, the Non-food Technology category displayed alternative innovations aimed at addressing agricultural and environmental challenges. The featured projects included a liquid agricultural input fermented from invasive golden apple snail eggs, wood vinegar formulated for natural pest management and soil enhancement, and the Hymenopterans Mulching Hole Maker, a tool designed to improve planting efficiency through faster and more consistent spacing.
Meanwhile, beyond the exhibits, the energy shifted to the playing grounds as students filled the stands to support their respective teams in the much-awaited championship matches.
The Lepidopterans secured the basketball championship title after an intense battle, while the official results for the volleyball and Sepak Takraw competitions remain pending.
Adding to the festival atmosphere, students also gathered at the campus grounds for traditional Larong Lahi competitions, including the sack race, basketball sa bukag, and Chinese garter. These activities showcased not only athletic ability but also camaraderie and appreciation for Filipino cultural games, with official winners yet to be announced.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Hymenopterans and Odonatans lead the competition after garnering the same highest score as the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) students of DdOSC — Main Campus competed on the second day of Aggie Fest 2026.
After an intense match-up, Hymenopterans and Odonatans emerged as the highest scorers with 304 points, followed by Lepidopterans with 262 points and Coleopterans with 232 points.
Meanwhile, Aggies showcased their agility and mental grit as they fought for championship titles in badminton and table tennis, while others proved their strategic skills in chess, scrabble, and Rubik's Cube.
As the Aggie Fest head into its final stretch, the celebration will officially conclude tomorrow with the final day of its championship competitions.
