Davao de Oro State College welcomed representatives from the Kolehiyo ng Pantukan for a benchmarking activity focused on the processes and practices of the Collegeโs Research and Development Division and Research Ethics Committee on August 12, 2026, at the DdOSC Conference Room.
Representing Kolehiyo ng Pantukan were Dr. Felix D. Tubera, KNP Research Ethics Committee Chairperson, and Joseph Z. Rion, MAEd, KNP Research Associate and Journal In-Charge.
The DdOSC delegation was led by the SUC President Dr. Lilybeth M. Matunhay, together with Dr. Jennifer T. Pelegrino, Director of the Research and Development Division, Dr. Juanita C. Leopoldo, Chairperson of the Research Ethics Committee, Mr. Jupite Mark U. Banayag, MSc, Dr. Orville J. Evardo, Mr. Eric D. Palmerola, MEd-LT, and Mr. Kenny Jim M. Gambong.
The discussions focused on key institutional mechanisms for managing the research journal, supporting researchers, overseeing research-related activities, and facilitating research ethics review. The exchange provided the KNP delegation with valuable insights into DdOSCโs approaches to research processes.
Beyond sharing institutional practices, the benchmarking activity served as a platform for both institutions to exchange experiences, practices, and insights in research development and research ethics. The discussions emphasized the value of learning from institutional practices and exploring approaches that can contribute to the continuous improvement of research-related programs and services.
