My thoughts on this day:

• It’s in the small stuff. The baon packed at 5am, the “nagkaon ka na?” texts, the way she remembers your favorite ulam. Those details are the real love language.
If you’re celebrating today somewhere, I hope you get time with the mom figures in your life. A call, a meal, or even just a “thank you” goes a long way.

The flip side to remember:
Redirection only works if you keep walking. A closed door isn’t a sign to sit down and give up — it’s a sign to pivot. Grieve the loss, then look up. There’s usually a hallway, not just a wall.
