The Institute of Information Technology (IIT) of Legacy College of Compostela (LCC) has introduced its Digital Login and Logout Attendance System for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027.

During the recent IIT Student Orientation, students logged in and out by scanning a unique QR code, replacing the traditional manual attendance process for school events and programs.

The system helps ensure accurate and reliable attendance records by detecting duplicate scans and preventing the use of a single device for multiple students. With faster registration, improved accuracy, easier monitoring, and less paperwork, IIT continues to demonstrate how technology can provide practical solutions to everyday academic needs.

We warmly welcome all students to the Students' Orientation for the First Semester, A.Y. 2026โ€“2027.

Attendance is strictly mandatory for all freshmen, transferees, and continuing college students. This orientation is designed to introduce students to essential information about the College's vision and mission, academic policies, student services, the Student Handbook, the Code of Conduct, and other important guidelines to help you have a successful academic year.

Held at National University Davao, the seminar-workshop featured Engr. Ma. Jessa E. Garsuta, DICT Davao de Oro Provincial Officer and Cybersecurity Focal Person, as the resource speaker. She shared valuable insights on strengthening cybersecurity competence among IT educators, highlighting current cyber threats, cybersecurity best practices, and the vital role of educators in promoting cyber awareness and resilience in academic institutions.

Through opportunities like this, IIT continues to invest in the professional growth of its faculty, ensuring that students receive relevant, industry-aligned, and future-ready IT education in an increasingly digital world.
