Honored for earning their Doctorate Degree in Business are Mr. Leo E. Wenceslao, DBM, Dean of the Entrepreneurship Department, together with faculty members Mr. Ryan M. Caralde, DBM, and Ms. Juma P. Wabinga, DBM.

First-year students from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSE) of Davao de Oro State College transformed the DdOSC Activity Center into a celebration of Filipino creativity and culture during their GED 9 โ Art Appreciation Final Examination held on May 22.
Carrying the theme โPhilippine Artistry,โ the event featured a vibrant showcase of installation arts, dance performances, and musical presentations that reflected the richness and diversity of Philippine culture and artistic expression.
As part of their final examination requirement, the students showcased their understanding and appreciation of Philippine arts through creative performances and exhibits that highlighted collaboration, innovation, and cultural awareness.
The activity was spearheaded by GED 9 instructors Ms. Andrey Sherbeth Tiempo, Ms. Daisy Abayan, Ms. Jackilyn Lerio, and Mr. Marcjun Ocampo, who organized the event as the culminating output of the students in Art Appreciation.

BSE first-year students successfully conducted their PE 2 final examination through an energetic Zumba performance today, May 21, at the DdOSC Activity Center.
The activity was facilitated by Marcjun Ocampo, Marimar Coraje, and Normalia Cabugatan-Hassan, PE instructors of the department.
The event highlighted the studentsโ teamwork, coordination, discipline, and physical fitness as they performed lively dance routines as part of their final assessment in Physical Education. The activity also emphasized the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle while fostering confidence and camaraderie among students.
Anchored on the theme โPhysical Education Matters,โ the Zumba performance reflected the significance of physical activity in promoting holistic wellness and student engagement.

To promote cultural appreciation and preserve indigenous heritage, second-year Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship students of Davao de Oro State College successfully conducted an extension activity entitled โLikha ng Kamay: Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Arts and Craftsโ on May 15, 2026, at the Brgy. Mangayon Gym in Compostela.
Guided by GED 12 instructors Ms. Jackilyn Lerio-Goc-ong, Ms. May Ann Caรฑetan-De la Cruz, Mr. Ryan Tabudlong, Mr. Leocharl Christ Lapasaran, and Mr. Philip Reducto, the students facilitated various activities that encouraged the participation of the IP Youth community.
Participants engaged in accessory-making, basket weaving, and cultural discussions that showcased the beauty and significance of indigenous arts and traditions.
Through the activity, the organizers aimed to strengthen community engagement while encouraging the preservation and appreciation of indigenous culture among the youth and community members.

โSeeking to bridge the gap between passion and profit, local micro-entrepreneurs gained vital financial management tools during the "Basic Bookkeeping and Financial Statements Preparation" extension activity workshop held at the DDOSC Main Campus Audio-Visual Room on May 11, 2025.
โUnder the theme โMastering the Basics: Managing Finances for Microenterprise Success,โ ABM 5 Business Finance students and instructors engaged with local business owners to strengthen their financial literacy in sustaining their businesses.
The event opened with a presentation on the activityโs rationale, highlighting the need for proper bookkeeping and financial management in the micro-enterprise sector.
Meanwhile, Marie Joy B. Butil, MBA, served as the first resource person. She discussed the proper recording of transactions, the organization of financial records, and the importance of accuracy in business operations.
Moreover, Roselle Mae D. Baguio, MBA, led the second session, focusing on the preparation of key financial statements and their role in evaluating business performance.
โThe activity was highly interactive, featuring facilitated workshops after each lecture. These sessions allowed participants to apply their learning on preparing and interpreting financial data.
โTo wrap up the morning, an open forum provided a space for business owners to seek clarification and address specific challenges they face in their operations.
