The Kappa Epsilon Fraternity – UP Los Baños Chapter proudly congratulates our brother, Dr. Reildrin G. Morales 90A, recipient of the Outstanding Professional of the Year Award for Veterinary Medicine – 2026, conferred by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC)!
Dr. Morales is recognized for his outstanding contributions to veterinary public health, animal disease control, and veterinary governance. He led the final phase of the Philippines’ Foot-and-Mouth Disease Eradication Program, helping secure international recognition of mainland Luzon as FMD-free without vaccination.
His distinguished career includes serving as Executive Director of the National Meat Inspection Service, OIC-Director of the Bureau of Animal Industry, and Chief Veterinary Officer of the Philippines, strengthening disease surveillance, food safety, livestock biosecurity, and national responses to African swine fever and highly pathogenic avian influenza.
His work with the FAO and WOAH, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, further reflects the international recognition of his expertise. His achievements have also earned him the UP College of Veterinary Medicine Distinguished Alumni Award for Government Service and the Outstanding UPLB Alumni Award for Government Service and Veterinary Practice.
A Fellow, Founding Member, and Past President of the Philippine College of Veterinary Epidemiologists, former Director of the PVMA National Board, and member of the CHED Technical Panel for Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Morales exemplifies professional leadership, veterinary education, and dedicated public service.
