As we conclude the 2nd Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026, the Department of Information Technology proudly celebrates the successful completion of its Practicum Program.
From a previously limited partnership with a single training agency under a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), the program has now expanded to multiple industry and government partners, providing our students with wider exposure and more meaningful, real-world internship experiences.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partner agencies for their invaluable support and for accommodating our interns:
- MASS-SPECC Cooperative Development Center
- Syntactics, Inc.
- DepEd Gingoog Division
- Philippine Coconut Authority – Region XIII
- REYD Telecommunication Services
- PARASAT HD Parafiber
- PHIVIDEC Industrial Agency
- FDC Misamis Power Corporation
- Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Region X
- Yamaha Villanueva Branch
- Municipality of Claveria
- City Government of Malaybalay
- Department of Agrarian Reform – Region X
- Department of Agriculture – Region X
- USTP Claveria – ICT Office
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the supervisors and directors of these agencies for their guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support in shaping the learning experience of our students.
This milestone was made possible through the dedicated efforts and coordination of the Practicum Coordinators and Instructors led by Ms. Caroline Paraiso-Zaportiza, LPT and Engr. Chrizyl Mae A. Maglangit, with the assistance of Ms. Leizl Gomez of the Career and Job Placement Services Office, and Engr. Kevin John T. Rama, CET OJT Coordinator.
We also acknowledge the strong leadership and support of Ms. Alphany D. Aragua, MIT, Department Head of Information Technology, Dr. Maribel S. Tizo, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Alexander L. Ido, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Renato O. Arazo, University Chancellor.
This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening industry collaboration and providing quality experiential learning opportunities for our students.
Thank you for your continued partnership in shaping competent, innovative, and industry-ready IT graduates. 💙
